Job Overview We are seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to lead and support the integration of motors, drives, sensors, safety circuits, and control systems into our balancing machines. This is a hands-on role that demands precision, excellent organizational habits, and strong computer proficiency. The ideal candidate will be confident working in electrical cabinets and on the floor, with a proactive mindset toward solving problems and supporting continuous improvement. Duties • Build and wire industrial control panels based on schematics • Integrate VFDs, servo drives, sensors, e-stops, relays, and safety circuits • Load and configure drive parameters (e.g. Yaskawa, Hitachi, Siemens) • Perform I/O checkout and functional testing of assembled machines • Troubleshoot electrical and control issues across the full system • Document firmware, controller settings, wiring changes, and test data • Collect and organize closing documentation for each machine prior to shipment • Support internal process development and documentation efforts • Communicate clearly with engineering, assembly, and management teams • Maintain an organized workspace and contribute to overall shop cleanliness Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or machine integration • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams • Demonstrated ability to build and troubleshoot control panels • Strong computer proficiency (Windows Installation, file systems, spreadsheets, structured documentation) • Strong organizational habits and attention to detail • Self-driven and dependable under minimal supervision • Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment safely and efficiently • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
