We are currently seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of high-voltage electrical substations. This position involves working under the supervision of experienced journeymen while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in the field. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-oriented, and eager to learn the trade while traveling to different job sites. Key Responsibilities: • Assist journeyman electricians in the installation of substation equipment, including transformers, breakers, switches, bus duct, and grounding systems. • Pull, label, and terminate wires and cables as directed. • Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner. • Help with conduit bending, installation, and routing according to drawings and specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work site. • Follow all safety protocols and participate in daily job site safety briefings. • Learn to interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical instructions. • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites. • Attend and complete all required safety and apprenticeship training programs. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED (required). • Enrollment in a registered electrical apprenticeship program (or willingness to enroll). • Previous construction or electrical experience is a plus but not required. • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to travel and work outdoors. • Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment. • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
