Electrical Apprentice

We are currently seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to assist in the construction, installation, and maintenance of high-voltage electrical substations. This position involves working under the supervision of experienced journeymen while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in the field. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-oriented, and eager to learn the trade while traveling to different job sites. Key Responsibilities: • Assist journeyman electricians in the installation of substation equipment, including transformers, breakers, switches, bus duct, and grounding systems. • Pull, label, and terminate wires and cables as directed. • Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner. • Help with conduit bending, installation, and routing according to drawings and specifications. • Maintain a clean and organized work site. • Follow all safety protocols and participate in daily job site safety briefings. • Learn to interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical instructions. • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites. • Attend and complete all required safety and apprenticeship training programs. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED (required). • Enrollment in a registered electrical apprenticeship program (or willingness to enroll). • Previous construction or electrical experience is a plus but not required. • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to travel and work outdoors. • Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment. • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Electrical Journeyman

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Traveling Journeyman to work within substation yards across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in high-voltage substations. This position requires extensive travel, strong technical knowledge, and adherence to safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 10.Assist in the repair and maintenance of all plant and equipment electrical systems. 11.Work on plant electrical distribution systems, including motor controls, hydraulics, distribution panels, ducts, disconnects and transformers. 12.Work on complex machine control systems including relay or solid state logic. 13.Determine sources of problems and take corrective action. 14.Ensure that electrical installations are made in accordance with applicable codes. 15.Wear prescribed safety equipment and observe all safety policies. 16. Knowledge of PCL and 480 volt. WORKING CONDITIONS -Foundry Environment. -Exposure to extreme temperatures. -Exposure to high noise levels. -Exposure to dirt and fumes. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -High School Diploma/GED preferred -Electrician License -3 - 5 years previous industrial electrical experience.
