Electrical Supervisor Primary Responsibilities • Supervise the personnel and activities on-shift to achieve or exceed determined standards for the production of a quality product in a safe manner and within customer specifications. • Assign and maintain workflow, check progress and quality of work, assist employees in the course of their daily work activities and assure compliance with production schedules. • Responsible for ensuring proper job sequence and set up of work, verifying accuracy of work and timecard information, recording overtime work, maintaining flow of proper material and tool storage. • Coordinate activities with any related departments; determine that proper safety and quality control procedures are being followed. • Responsible for the proper and efficient utilization of manpower and machinery, including adequate training of new personnel. • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping and maintaining safe work practices and conditions. • Recommend purchase of necessary supplies; equipment, materials, etc. initiates purchase requisitions. • Prepare and maintain production reports and records. • Constant surveillance of machinery and equipment, and other duties determined by the Maintenance Superintendent. • Shadow the current PLC Programmer to learn all functions of PLC programming and troubleshooting. • Assist Plant Programmer in projects to streamline operations. Electrical Supervisor Experience • 5 years of manufacturing experience • 2 – 4 years' supervisory and/or management experience • 2 – 4 years' industrial maintenance and electrical experience • Experience using both DC and AC motors, VF drives and controlled systems (Allen Bradley preferred). Electrical Supervisor Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Computer skills require usage of Excel, Word, People Soft, and MaintScape • Require excellent mathematical and analytical skills. • Ability to read and understand US, and European schematics. • Ability to do basic panel building (circuit building), push button additions, and changing of relay bases to allow for correct voltage and amp draw. • Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies with experience in design, repair, and analysis of electrical systems. • Functional and usable knowledge of use of multi-meter/Amp meter/ Megger to include but not limited to AC voltage/DC voltage continuity checks, amp testing, and insulation testing. • High voltages experience 220-480 VAC. • 24Vdc control voltage troubleshooting experience. • Signal voltage 0 – 10Vdc. • Familiar with Servos, drives, and PLC programming basics and understanding of PLC functions. Electrical Supervisor Education, Licenses & Certifications • High school diploma or equivalent required • Two-year technical degree in electrical engineering, technology, or related field preferred • Background in Programmable Logic Controllers, computer systems and electronics Electrical Supervisor Additional Information • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
