Carris Reels, Inc. Bonham Texas location is actively searching for a Second (2nd) Shift Maintenance Electrician who is strong in PLC knowledge! Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrician (Manufacturing) will look after the electrical systems of our plant and the industrial machinery within the building. As Maintenance Electrician, you will be required to conduct general maintenance inspections, perform routine electrical maintenance, respond to faults and wiring issues, and install major electrical appliances/machinery for the plant. Responsibilities • PLC knowledge - Allen Bradley, Schneider, Siemens - preferred. • Routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances/machinery. • Identifying faults or hazards. • Troubleshooting system failures. • Reviewing blueprints to understand wiring placement. • Testing of electrical systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters. • Conducting maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures. • Responding to fault requests. • Providing suggestions for equipment replacement. • Writing electrical maintenance reports • Installing new electrical machinery in the plant. • Adhering to safety performance standards. Education/Experience/Skills & Abilities • High school diploma or G.E.D. • Electrician certification. • 3-5 years Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician. • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code. • Great problem-solving skills. • Physically able to stand for long periods of time • Great communication skills. Physical Requirements/Work Environment • Position requires walking, standing, sitting, twisting, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, reaching, pulling, and pushing. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on occasion. Frequent computer usage and the ability to use both hands and feet, arms, and legs - working manufacturing plant with exposure to frequent dust, loud noise, cold and hot temperatures with no climate control in place.
