We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise crew-level activities on commercial electrical projects in DFW. This role oversees installation, alteration, addition, and repair of electrical systems, conductors, and related equipment. On smaller projects, you may serve as the primary job site supervisor. Why Join Walker Engineering • $3,500 Sign-On Bonus! • Career growth with a respected leader in electrical construction • A company that values skill, safety, and results Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Crew and Project Oversight – Manage all Walker field trades on assigned crews or projects. • Project Planning – Work with the Project Manager to conduct estimates and material take-offs. • Work Preparation – Ensure tools, equipment, materials, information, and manpower are in place on schedule. • Layout and Scheduling – Assign work, set schedules, and maintain manpower charts. • Supervision – Direct crews installing: • * Electrical feeders • Pumps, motors, and generators • Control and distribution systems (switchgear, relays, breaker panels) • Lighting fixtures, outlets, and related terminations • Work Monitoring – Oversee progress, coordinate with other trades, and adjust schedules as needed. • Hands-On Work – Perform work as needed for production or instruction. • Administrative – Complete daily reports, time sheets, safety forms, and other required documentation. • Safety Leadership – Enforce safety protocols, provide training, and assist with incident investigations. Position Requirements • All skills required for lower-rated positions, including Journeyman duties • Current Driver’s License and reliable transportation • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Minimum 6 years’ commercial/industrial electrical experience Note: Duties and responsibilities may change based on business needs. Requests may include lighting and electrical service calls. Proficiently interprets blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs • Completes all required paperwork timely and accurately. Takes readings from nominal equipment and makes timely entry into appropriate logs • Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment, and keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner • Observes and complies with all company safety policies. Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests • Works on and completes all facility team-based goals • High School Diploma or GED • Technical degree in related field is preferred • Possession of a current trade licenses as required
