Technician, Operations and Maintenance - Electrician

Hourly Rate Starts at $35.22 - $56.96, depending on level of experience Power Plant Electrician - Operations and Maintenance Technician PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The primary responsibilities of this role will be to operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all mechanical, I/C, and electrical high voltage equipment with as required to support plant operations and maximize asset value. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES • Uses computerized maintenance management system to maintain and control work order system spare parts inventory. Perform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, fans, turbines, bearings, boilers, pipe systems, valves and limitorque operators. (disassembly, part repair or replacement, assembly). • Operates monitors and maintains turbines, generators, pumps, scrubber plants, industrial wastewater treatment plants, boilers, motors, combustion turbines and associated auxiliary equipment. • Trains and develops other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities. Practices situational leadership, environmental and safety stewardship. • Leads equipment or system problem identification and recommends solutions. • Perform predictive/preventive maintenance. • Perform electrical maintenance on generators, transformers and MOV’s. • Perform troubleshooting on plant equipment such as power and control circuits, heaters, motors and transformers using electrical test instruments. • Develops operating procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation. • Performs all work during an assigned shift in a safe, continuous and efficient manner while maintaining environmental and housekeeping standards within federal, state and local guidelines. Performs work per Work Management processes and ensures safety using equipment Tag out process. • Assists in requisitioning parts and supplies. • Perform any other duties as assigned. POSITION SCOPE The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization. Good knowledge of PLC's, Ovation and GE Mark 6 Digital Controls Systems. Qualifications - External MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Associates' Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics OR • HS Diploma with minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology • Successfully complete the training requirements and time in job requirements for the position including previously passing the EEI TECH test • Electrical background • Availability for Day shift work and overtime as required • Good oral and written communication skills • Basic computer skills • Understanding of power plant prints • Valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle • Ability to work in a power plant environment that includes climbing and walking long distances • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Electrical Technician Level 3

COMPANY Propell American LLC 4801 Glen Rose Hwy Granbury, TX 76048 DESCRIPTION The Electrical Technician plays a vital role in our operations by performing electrical installations on all products, troubleshooting, servicing, diagnosing failures, and making repairs on electrical and/or other various systems. Testing and Installation: Effectively test, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems, products, assemblies, and/or components, meeting quality and safety standards. 9. Communication: Communicate potential quality and/or compliance deviations effectively to appropriate stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. 10. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and demonstrate manual dexterity necessary for performing tasks effectively. SUMMARY The Electrician’s position is to troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain all plant electrical, instrumentation, and electronic equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Experience working with 480VAC, 3 Phase electricity in an industrial environment • Installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment such as transformers, motors, VFD’s, PLC’s heating units, conduit systems, and other electrical equipment and components. • repair, replace and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, defective wiring, etc. • Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers, servos, gears, sprockets chains, etc. using test equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the plant (Example: Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers) • Inspects and performs daily maintenance on all plant machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC Systems, PLC networks. • Writing basic PLC programs, setting up HMIs, maintaining automation records. • Operates mobile equipment to transfer product/material as needed while following all safety rules and regulations. • Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment. • Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures, complete record of inspections as required. • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus and replaces damaged wires and cables. • Connects power supply wires to and between machines and equipment. • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices Comply with safety standards and procedures. • Works closely with Operations to ensure that the plant runs efficiently. JOB SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • 4+ years of electrical troubleshooting and repair or similar experience. • Plant Manufacturing Journeyman or General Journeyman license. • Fluent understanding of 3-phase power supply, feeders, and current limiting devices. • Use blueprints and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations. • Experience working with electrical motors, relays, switches, sensors, and lighting fixtures. • Knowledge and navigation of NEC codes. • PLC and instrumentation experience is a plus. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events. • Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level that allows for the safe and accurate performance of job duties. • Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays to service emergency needs.
