Job Summary: An electrical Foreman provides oversite to installation, upgrades, renovation and completes other assigned electrical duties to produce the product requested by an owner or general contractor. This includes directing the on-the-job electrical training of apprentices. Applications and electrician survey can be completed online at www.willmarelectric.com/careers/ Wage: $38.00 to $44.00 an hour Essential Functions: Project Oversite • Attend and participate in regular on-site Foreman meetings, weekly safety meetings, and lead daily huddles. • Participate in weekly 1:1 session with General Superintendent. • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers. • Maintain knowledge of what is needed to complete project including percent complete, projected hours, and material. • Coordinate and maintain job site tools and equipment. • Maintain on-site copy of as-built drawings. • Coordinate Willmar Electric’s subcontractors. • Give accurate performance evaluations as directed. • Train and mentor craftworkers. • Approve project timesheets. • Hold crew and self accountable for following policies and procedures of Willmar Electric. • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing priorities or demands, including performing other duties for your supervisor, as assigned. Planning • Lead the onsite Planning Rhythm including development of task plans, and daily goals. • Assist General Superintendent in the development of the 3-week plan. • Procure and manage all necessary material on the project site to maintain progress of 3-week plan including maintenance of the clamshell Kanban system. • Complete and submit daily reports (i.e. daily log, quantity log, progress photos) via the construction management system. • Coordinate manpower (determined through 3-week plans) necessary to complete project on time and within budget. • Maintain list of incomplete tasks. • Identify, evaluate, and implement prefab opportunities. Safety • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment. • Ensure all craft workers receive safety training (i.e. weekly safety meeting). • Coordinate safety inspections (i.e. monthly, quarterly assured grounding, temporary power, and ladder) and act to correct deficiencies as needed. • Report injuries and near hits to Safety Coordinator immediately. Minimum Qualifications: • Hold and maintain the state issued Master/Journeyman license requirements. • OSHA30 hour (Construction Safety and Health) certification. • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. • Proficient in computer programs, which include, but not limited to: construction management software – Procore; Microsoft – Word, Excel and Outlook. • Ability to communicate information in a variety of ways to field staff, office staff, general contractors and other trades. • Possess the current NFPA 70 National Electrical Code book and have the ability to navigate Benefits: Here at Willmar Electric Service, we offer over 30 different benefits for our team members.
