Install all electrical wiring for parts and appliances. This position will need to be able to read and understand sales paperwork to ensure that the appropriate installation process takes place, such as number of inside speakers, converter location, type of awning & location of awning switch, type of TV antenna or satellite and the location of each, type & amount of RCA wires needed, LP & COD locations, generator wires, TV wires, satellite power location and battery box location. Quality is extremely important for this area, as accuracy in the installation process is key to time management and unnecessary cost reduction. Tasks · Measure distance with ruler/tape measurer to lay out work in body of unit · Drills holes and bolts metal framework and supports in place · Cuts, drills, and fits brackets, supports, covers, and fixtures from metal sheet, strap, or bar stock. · Bolts and screws control panels and assembled operating units to framework. · Connects electrical wiring and cables. · Installs lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards · Calibrate and test equipment, and locate circuit and component faults, using hand and power tools and measuring and testing instruments such as resistance meters and oscilloscopes. · Disassemble entertainment equipment and repair or replace loose, worn, or defective components and wiring, using hand tools and soldering irons. · Refers to trailer interior order for equipment specifics. · Position or mount speakers, and wire speakers to consoles. · Read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams, function block diagrams, specifications, engineering drawings, and service manuals. · Tune or adjust equipment and instruments to obtain optimum visual or auditory reception, according to specifications, manuals, and drawings.
