Johns Manville is hiring Industrial Electrician(s) at our Defiance, OH complex. We are searching for individuals who are dependable, responsible and quality-minded who have a history of working safely in a manufacturing environment. This position requires NO MANDATORY OVERTIME. The Defiance, OH location manufactures direct melt products including wet chop glass fibers primarily for specialty applications, glass reinforcements for gypsum wall boards, direct dry chop for plastic reinforcements, single end roving for weavers and plastic reinforcements, and glass mat. Hours: 6-2 rotating shift. A - shift 12 am to 8 am B - shift 8 am to 4 pm C - shift 4 pm to 12 am D - shift covers all three shifts The rotation is as follows: two 4 pm to 12 am shifts, 24 hours off, two 12 am to 8 am shifts and 24 hours off and two 8 am to 4 pm shifts and 48 hours off. After the 48 hours the rotation starts over. What You Bring to the Team: • High school diploma or GED • Industrial Electrician Journeyman Card or equivalent experience. • Ability to stand, walk, and use tools continuously as well as frequently reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50lbs. • Troubleshooting experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC drives and basic instrumentation (temperature, level, pressure). • Working knowledge of basic electrical equipment (digital multimeter, megger, etc.) • Ability to tolerate working from heights and elevated temperatures. • Good hearing, vision (color), speaking, and finger dexterity skills. • Basic Computer skills and the ability to understand technical prints, charts, and diagrams. • Working Knowledge of SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check Please Keep in Mind If you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
