Journeyman Electrician

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Auburn, IN looking to add a Journeyman Electrician to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be performing basic electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on various plant equipment. Think this sounds like you? Keep reading to find out more! What's in it for you: • Two different schedules to meet your scheduling needs – every other weekend is required • 2nd shift – Monday to Friday from 2pm-10pm • 3rd shift – Sunday to Thursday from 10pm-6am • Competitive hourly rate between $35-$40/hr. depending on experience • Direct Hire position - you'll be hired on directly with our client! • Growth and advancement • Amazing benefit package once hired in permanently • Medical, Dental and Vision • 401K • Paid vacation What your day will look like: • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment related to the foundry, including relay logic and PLCs. • Install electrical systems to support various foundry equipment. • Ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently. • Test electrical systems and circuits for continuity using appropriate testing devices. • Conduct regular inspections of the premises, perform routine maintenance, and make repairs as needed. • Offer recommendations for equipment replacement when necessary. • Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs. • Use test equipment and hand tools to diagnose faults in systems, apparatus, and components, and correct any issues. What we are looking for: • At least 3 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Journeyman electrician license required. • Preferred prior knowledge of green sand foundry practices, principles, and equipment. • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
