Principal Duties: • Perform FRA regulatory tests and inspections of signal systems and crossings. • Install, repair, maintain, test, and inspect signals, switch machines, electrical switch locks, circuit controllers, crossing warning devices, and maintain automated classification yards. • Install, repair, maintain, test, and inspect various signal systems including Automatic Block, Traffic Control, Positive Train Control, cab signal, and interlocking systems. • Conduct cable locates, painting, housekeeping of signal housings & equipment, climb structures, troubleshoot, and make electrical connections. • Use hand tools, on-track high-rail equipment, and test instruments. • Perform construction duties such as digging, wiring, setting foundations, and installing equipment. • This role requires travel and on-call availability, including weekends.
