About Us John C. Flood of Virginia Inc. provides plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and electrical services within the Washington DC DMV. It offers various plumbing repairs, air conditioning and water heater repairs and installations, electrical, bathroom remodeling design and installations, sewer line replacement and repairs, and water main services; and heating system repairs, such as residential boiler and tankless water heaters. About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Residential Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will diagnose and repair residential electrical systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions. Minimum Qualifications: • 5 years of residential electrical experience • 5 years of customer service experience or residential service work • Ability to obtain and use various hand and power tools common to trade • Ability to use an iPad for taking notes, presenting options to the client, and business needs • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Valid driver's license with clean driving record • Ability to compute basic mathematical functions related to the trade Preferred Qualifications: • Journeyman License • Experience in residential service work highly preferred, • Possess all necessary tools to fulfill job duties • The ability to follow routine, verbal, and written instructions • Being capable of maintaining professional working relationships with team members Responsibilities • Complete all general electrical in-home, service calls. • Install, reconnect, and upgrade electrical service to heating and air conditioning equipment, as well as water heaters • Identify, repair, or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices, and various tools after presenting options to the client • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems • Adhere to local and state codes • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck. • Participate actively in all training exercises and morning meetings. • Be accurate and timely with invoices and time cards.
