The Cambridge Packaging facility is currently looking for a top notch Industrial Maintenance Electrician with manufacturing experience to join our growing team for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Job Overview Industrial Maintenance Electrician will perform activities to fix/improve/repair components so that they function within their operating specifications. Will execute these activities, notify of any new problems observed, and confirm the work is complete. Key Accountabilities • Troubleshoot machinery using schematics and basics. • Provide expertise with relays, safety systems, VFD’s, PLC’s, encoders/ potentiometers, etc. • Determine root cause (RCA) of failed equipment by troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, steam boilers, motors, gearboxes, pumps, sensors and other mechanical and electrical components to include up to 480 volt, VFD’s, PLC’s, pressure and process gauges and much more. • Using your Electrical, Mechanical or a combination of both these skills to resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production. • Be proactive in personal development in technical skills and knowledge required for the role. • Ensure that all work is carried out accurately, to a high standard and within agreed timescales. • Requires effective decision making with respect to the cost of repairs. • Use the SAP to navigate and review work orders, checkout parts and supplies, review task records and close tasks when complete. • Responsible to communicate to supervisor & record in SAP the completed work orders with the relevant information (parts used, time spent, root cause, activities carried out, anything noticed during the work that needs to be followed up. • Responsible to enter work orders for items discovered that needed to be repaired. Education & Certifications Technical school and training or military technical training or equivalent experience. 2 – 4 year degree is a plus Job Specific Technical Requirements Control Circuit experience Prior Industrial Electrician Experience Automation experience and knowledge Corrugator, Converting and/or Packaging Manufacturing Processes experience Service Oriented & sense of urgency.
