Position Overview The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, planning, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all electrical components, machinery, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Electrician plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and contributing to a safe working environment by performing preventative maintenance and responding to equipment malfunctions. Salary Range: $30 - $35 / hour Job Description and Key Responsibilities • Plan and execute installation, modifications, and repairs on all production and auxiliary equipment, including multi-spindle bar machines, internal and external grinders, heat treat equipment, pumps, compressors, and chip crushers. • Develop new circuits or revise old electrical circuits. Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams, schematics, ladder logic, and basic machine language. • Repair and/or calibrate instrumentation devices or circuits. Must understand solid-state circuitry. • Analyze and take corrective action on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine malfunctions. • Assist in the installation or relocation of equipment including unloading and moving to location. Work with machine tool company representatives when new equipment is being installed and tested. • Collaborate closely with maintenance team members and others to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of systems and provide guidance to maintenance personnel to support skill development and enhance the overall quality of the workforce. • Work closely with all plant associates, including production staff, engineers, safety personnel, and supervisors, both individually and within cross-functional teams. • Assist with a variety of general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, welding, and mechanical projects, or regular electrical projects such as installing phone lines, repairing circuit boards, wiring, etc. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute and ensure electrical installations accurately. • Must follow all company established safety guidelines, ethics policies and safety Programs. • Adhere to all Export, Import, and Supply Chain Security Policy requirements relevant to the position. • Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs • Adhere to ISO 9000 Standards • Effectively function in a matrix and team environment.
