Jr Electrical Engineer

Title:Jr Electrical EngineerKBR is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and sustainment of cutting-edge CUAS/CuXS technologies for Navy and defense applications in Lexington Park, MD. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that detect, track, and neutralize aerial threats, integrating advanced electronics and RF solutions into broader security infrastructures.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide electrical engineering expertise in the design, development, integration, and lifecycle support of CUAS solutions.Design and develop electronic systems used to detect, track, jam, or neutralize UAS threats, including RF, power distribution, signal processing, and control circuitry.Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize reliability and effectiveness.Integrate electrical components with broader CUAS and security infrastructure, including communications and control networks.Support testing, maintenance, and sustainment activities across all phases of the system lifecycle.Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and tools, using sound judgment to adapt methods as needed.Contribute to the design and documentation of complex systems and support integration and validation efforts for larger projects.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Education: BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited US College.Experience: 2+ years of experience. At least one year of experience must be in the support of Navy cUAS/CuXS solutions.Citizenship & Clearance: US Citizenship. Must have an active/current Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience supporting R&D portfolios for C-UAS/CuXS systems/capabilitiesFamiliarity with RF systems, jamming technologies, power electronics, and embedded control systems.Experience collaborating with military personnel, government civilians, and contractor teams.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.Compensation: $68,000-85,500. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
