Job Overview A skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer is required to support Electromagnetic Environmental Effects. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with the pulser team in indoor and outdoor laboratory environments to prepare and execute test activities. • Support High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse testing for various military aircraft, weapons, and communication systems. • Design, operate, and troubleshoot electromagnetic pulse simulators, high voltage/high current equipment, and specialized components. • Calibrate, maintain, and organize specialized test equipment. • Research and develop current electromagnetic pulse simulators/subsystems to improve reliability and performance. • Interact and coordinate with customers, contractors, subcontractors, technical leads, program managers, supervisors, and executive supervisors to perform roles and responsibilities. Minimum Requirements and Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or relevant subject; and at least 3 years of experience performing work related to the key responsibilities listed. • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance. Desired Skills and Qualifications • Experience performing magnetic/electrical field analysis of pulse forming networks using field sensors, fiber optics, oscilloscopes, and signal processing software. • Experience in pulsed power engineering, applied electromagnetics, or high-energy physics projects including planning, operation, and management. • Familiarity with design and operation of Pulsed Power systems including Marx Generators, Fast Trigger Systems, and Pulse Forming Networks. • Familiarity with engineering design tools such as MATLAB, LABVIEW, CAD software (AutoCAD or Solidworks), Circuit Modeling software (Pspice or equivalent). • Knowledge of pulse forming networks involving high voltage pulsed power supplies and fast switching devices from a theoretical or practical standpoint. • Practical knowledge of RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, VNA's, etc.) and prior military service.
