The Technician will provide hands-on technical support, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes as well as DoD/NAVFAC standards. The position requires experience in supporting mission-critical facilities, strict adherence to safety requirements, and the ability to operate in a structured contract environment. Required Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of electrical technician experience supporting facility design, construction, or sustainment projects. DoD or federal contract experience strongly preferred. • Technical Knowledge: • Strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local electrical codes (NEC, UFC, NFPA). • Experience with electrical distribution systems, power panels, generators, lighting, and grounding/bonding systems. • Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical design tools (ETAP, SKM, or equivalent). • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Certifications: OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or equivalent electrical safety certifications preferred. • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance (higher clearance may be required based on contract). • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree, vocational certificate, or military technical training in electrical systems highly desirable.
