About Us We’re launching a new Mr. Electric franchise in Fort Washington, Maryland and are looking for our first Service Professional—a skilled, customer-focused Licensed Electrician who brings strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering a world-class customer experience. Position Overview The Licensed Electrician will perform residential and light commercial electrical work, diagnose and complete repairs, provide installation services, and communicate clearly with customers about recommended solutions. As our first field employee, you will set the standard for quality, professionalism, and customer care. Key Responsibilities • Perform a wide range of electrical services, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and upgrades. • Follow all NEC, state, and local electrical codes and safety standards. • Provide customers with clear explanations of issues and solutions using a consultative, customer-friendly approach. • Prepare accurate quotes and invoices using company-provided systems. • Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and keep tools/equipment in excellent condition. • Uphold Mr. Electric’s service standards, including on-time arrival, branded presentation, and respectful communication. • Represent the franchise with professionalism in every interaction—both in the field and on customer property. • Identify opportunities for additional services that genuinely benefit the customer. • Document work performed and maintain accurate daily records. • Mentor apprentices in the future as the business grows (optional but valued). Required Qualifications • Active Maryland Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Must be valid and in good standing.) • 5+ years of hands-on residential electrical experience (commercial experience a plus). • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Maryland local codes. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to pass background check. • Excellent communication and customer service skills—polite, professional, and patient. • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and problem-solve on the job. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience working for a service-based electrical contractor or home-service brand. • Comfort using tablets, quote/invoicing apps, and scheduling software. ServiceTitan experience a plus. • Experience training or mentoring junior technicians. Electric Power Generation Engineer - Washington, D.C.

The NAVSEA 05Z5 Directorate is responsible for the design and development of the COLUMBIA class Integrated Power System that provides power distribution and propulsion for the future ballistic missile submarines, and the design of a new turbine generator to generate all electrical power. They work with directly with the shipbuilder for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating all resources required for the design, construction, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) of the future submarine’s power system. They are also responsible for all of the Turbine Generators for generating electricity for all submarine and CVNs.
