Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. • Read and interpret electrical prints, blueprints, and specifications. • Ensure work is completed in compliance with current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. • Lead job site activities when needed and provide on-the-job training to apprentice electricians. • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and follow all safety procedures. • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, team members, and supervisors. • Accurately document project details and submit required reports as needed. • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment. Qualifications: • Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician - State of Michigan required. • 10+ years of experience preferred in the electrical trade. • Strong understanding of the current National Electrical Code (NEC). • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and specifications. • Proven leadership ability with a passion for mentoring apprentices. • A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. • High level of personal integrity, trustworthiness, and pride in workmanship. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Electrical Technician - GM Defense

Description Onsite: This position requires the Technician to be onsite on a fulltime basis The Role The Electrical Technician provides electrical build and programming support for vehicle properties that are typically in the early phases of the advanced development process. What You'll Do Building prototype vehicles Troubleshooting electrical issues for Engineering Development Vehicles Modification of production and prototype body, powertrain and chassis control systems. Design, build and integration of special control circuit modules and controllers for advanced vehicle innovation projects New sub-system installations for new technologies Integration and servicing of newly designed Autonomous vehicle systems Complete assignments according to work requests, on time, with highest quality Adhere to all GM Safety standards Actively participates in GMS initiatives as required Create accurate, complete documentation associated with task execution Perform physical tasks common to the position Maintain good housekeeping standards Additional Description Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Associate degree in an electrical field, or Equivalent military or job experience in the given field will be considered 2+ years’ experience in a job-related area Strong understanding of electrical principles Ability to read vehicle electrical schematics Knowledge of the different automotive connectors, terminals, & locks Knowledge of the overall vehicle electrical functionality and power distribution Knowledge or ability to use the MDI system and/or NEOVI Fire 2 system Strong Automotive Electrical & Electronic (tear down and assembly skills) Operation of shop fabrication equipment (drill press, saws, powered crimpers) Soldering skills (board level, connectors and harness) Fabrication of high voltage cables and connections Experience with Powertrain Electronics Experience with Hybrid, Battery or Hydrogen driven vehicle systems Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
