Industrial Electricall Technician or Journeyman 2nd & 3rd Shift

Our client is seeking an Industrial Technician or Journeyman to join their team. You will be responsible for the troubleshooting of production equipment, preventative maintenance, and installations/repairs of manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization. This is a direct hire position! Job Title: Industrial Technician or Journeyman (2nd & 3rd shift) Location: Holland, MI Pay: $30.00 - $40.00/hour, $1.00 shift differential. Key Responsibilities • Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and maintains precision machine and production tools and equipment. • Diagnoses machine malfunctions and difficulties, then plans and implements actions necessary to return equipment to operation and prevent future breakdowns. • Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and machine manuals to perform safe and effective repairs. Maintenance/Electrical Technician-3rd Shift

Who We Are and What We Do GNS America was established in 2009. Our core business is in conventional stamping, hot stamping, welding, and assembly. Our tool and die capability offer simulation and full design and build activities. Hot and Conventional Stamping GNS offers a complete range of stamping equipment. Our stamping facilities can cater to any required automotive and industrial stamping requirements. In our automotive operations, we have a full range of stamping capabilities in the 100 ton to 800 ton range, in multiple locations. Our stamping capabilities span a variety of metals. Laser Cutting GNS is a recognized leader in the use of laser technologies, GNS utilizes multi-axis laser cutting technology. Our multi-axis lasers are used for both prototyping and our large volume production for the automotive industry. In addition to cutting flat metal, GNS provides trimming and hole piercing services for three-dimensional parts. Our lasers have the versatility to cut a variety of metals with varying thickness and degrees of complexity. Welding At GNS, we use spot welding in the welding of Ultra High Strength Steel and Press Hardening parts. Our welding and assembly cells are highly automated. We use automated robots to perform several of the most complex and precise operations inside the welding cells to achieve maximum cost reduction and ensure we produce the highest quality products for our customers. Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery. Essential Responsibilities: • Diagnose cause of mechanical, electrical, or controls malfunction or failure of production equipment • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment • Make repairs to Fanuc robotic equipment including circuit board, servo motor, wiring, and encoder issues • Perform minor path and program changes to Fanuc robots • Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of production equipment • Diagnose electrical, control-related, mechanical, or hydraulic malfunction and determine and perform corrective actions on same • Use lock-out/tag-out procedures applicable to equipment when servicing, repairing, or installing equipment • Assist other technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other team members • Take ownership by making repairs in a timely manner and follow up with customers and stakeholders to ensure work was completed effectively and permanently • Perform facility and building maintenance tasks as required • Participate in continuous improvement and assist in its implementation • Keep work area clean and compliant to a 5S model • Maintain safety standards in the workplace in accordance with workplace and OSHA standards • Ensure the quality of all work done and of our products to ensure customer satisfaction • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic purposes • Operate mobile equipment (forklifts, vertical lifts, cranes, etc) • Operate hand and power tools to effect repairs • Communicate effectively and respectfully with other team members in order to accomplish assigned tasks Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Speak, read, and write English • Use mathematics in the accomplishment of repairs and diagnostics • Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify conclusions, alternatives, and approaches to tasks and repairs to effect the most timely and productive outcome • Must be self-starting, motivated, and eager to resolve issues and complete tasks Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and enter data using a keyboard and mouse. The employee is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Climbing and balancing, stooping, and kneeling, crouching or crawling, and use of smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This job involves repetitive tasks and attention to detail. Fast-paced environment, usually work standard is a 40-hour-week, but overtime may be necessary as work load dictates in order to ensure that production equipment is safe, ready, and operating correctly as per our production schedule. While we strive to maintain a reasonable work/life balance, duties will include weekends at times, and may include long shifts or holidays in the event of an emergency. Work environment – Work performed in a shop/factory environment and employee will be regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise. GNS has established processes, procedures, and protective equipment to reduce or eliminate exposures to these hazards and full compliance is a requirement of the job. Requires working in non-air-conditioned variable temperature factory setting. Employees are exposed to extreme heat and/or cold and other workplace hazards that require attention and thoughtfulness in the execution of their duties.
