Electrical Substation Maintenance Technician

Electrical Substation Maintenance Technician We are seeking a skilled Electrical Substation Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our substations. Responsibilities: • Maintain and repair electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers. • Perform routine inspections and testing to ensure equipment is functioning properly. • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment. • Work safely while assisting in new/existing construction and various tasks such as demolition, site preparation, excavating, backfilling, landscaping, trenching, pole setting, and cable labeling. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certificate preferred. • 2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field. • Knowledge of electrical systems and principles, including safety procedures and protocols. • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces. • Valid forklift certification. Engineer - Substation

Summary/Objective The Engineer is responsible for independently designing and modifying power system protection and automation schemes, preparing engineering documentation, and supporting commissioning activities. This role requires professional judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to work on multiple projects with moderate supervision. Essential Functions • Design substation protection schemes and specify relays for use in redundant protection systems. • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations. • Perform protective relay coordination studies and program substation relays. • Conduct short-circuit analysis and develop relay settings for electromechanical and microprocessor relays. • Provide technical guidance to contractors, clients, and other engineers. • Assist with commissioning of new equipment and troubleshoot existing facilities. • Analyze fault events and prepare sequence-of-events reports. • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures. • All other duties assigned. Required Education And Experience • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution. • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of electric utility or power engineering experience performing engineering calculations and design work. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities • Proficiency in CAD and electrical modeling software. • Strong technical writing and documentation skills. • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Compensation This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual base salary range of $80,000 – $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
