Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventive and corrective Electrical Maintenance on Plastics Machines and Various Equipment, including extruders, winders, chill rolls, slitters, and bag-making machines. • Knowledge of and capable of troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of electrical systems including motors, drives, VFDs, HMI, PLCs, control panels, circuits, temp controllers, and sensors. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Be able to program VFDs trouble shoot as to why it’s not starting the machine, why the speed is not holding, why the temperature is not holding, etc. • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and startup of regular maintenance, new equipment or upgrades on existing equipment or machines. • Must have experience with motors up to 300HP; Must have knowledge of AC Invertors, and DC Motors. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities following company procedure and standards. • Participate in planned on-call rotation, and emergency repair rotations as required. • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement long-term corrective solutions. • Work collaboratively with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. • Bi-Lingual preferred but not required. • Minimum 5 years Electrical of experience required. This position is an Electrical Maintenance Position in an industrial setting. Primary focus on electrical knowledge with VFD, PLC, AC Inverter, DC Motors, and 300HP. Understand that this position is electrical based being the primary focus as well as being an overall team player in the maintenance department. • Proficient with VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial electrical systems (300 HP Motors). • Prior experience in manufacturing is welcomed, not required. • Working knowledge of pneumatic and mechanical systems. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
