Work assignments are received in written or oral form and may be accompanied by sketches or blueprints. Work may be performed somewhat independently but primarily accompanied by an electrician, under the general supervision of the Electrical/Electronics Foreperson. Completed work is inspected primarily for conformity to specifications, instructions, and safety standards. Performs troubleshooting in dorms and campus buildings on a daily basis. Assists in preparation for special events on campus. Assists with new construction and remodeling projects as required. Reports to the Electrical/Electronics Foreperson. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of experience in low voltage electrical work involving interior and exterior wiring and the repair of electrical equipment is required. Apprentice license is preferred. PHYSICAL May require carrying heavy tools and equipment up and down several flights of stairs.
