In this exciting role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all electrical equipment within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Your Key Responsibilities: • Conduct tests on electrical systems, circuits, and equipment to ensure safe operation. • Inspect systems and components to identify hazards or defects requiring repair. • Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to optimize production processes. • Collaborate with vendors to identify parts necessary for repairs and recommend purchases to your Supervisor. • Read and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, and blueprints. • Program AC and DC variable speed drives for efficient machinery operation. • Enhance and maintain the power distribution system, Motor Control Centers (MCC), and switch gears. • Install electrical equipment as required in the facility. Preferred Skills and Experience: • Experience following lock-out procedures to ensure safety. • A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on accuracy. • Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills. • Proficient in problem analysis and solution development. • A team player with high motivation and a positive attitude. Additional Requirements: • Availability for rotating shifts, overtime, and on-call support for 24/7 operations. • 4-5 years of electrician experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • A high school diploma or GED. • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check. Experience with: • Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControlLogix 5000 systems. • Allen Bradley Panelviews and communications systems like Devicenet and Ethernet. • Scanning and Optimization systems related to the Lumber Business (Porter, USNR). • Process Network Communication Systems, including Ethernet and Fiber Optic technology.
