Solar Installer

Daily activities are inclusive of, but not limited to, measuring, cutting, drilling, working from height, minor electrical work, assisting with structural upgrades, using hand/power tooling, reading plan-sets, following direction, following safe work practices, and assisting senior members of the designated installation team. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Loading and unloading Company vehicle with project materials • Loading and unloading materials to and from the roof/structure being installed on • Assemble all roof components in an efficient and safe manner • Perform electrical work as instructed by the crew lead, both independently and under direct supervision • Install projects adhering to Freedom Forever plan sets • Flashing penetrations as needed to ensure project quality • Provide onsite guidance and recommendations to Installer I’s • Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with Freedom Forever policies, applicable codes (Ex: NFPA-70, IRC, IFC, CA-T24, etc). • Strictly follow all Freedom Forever safety regulations and policies • Follow all direction given by senior members of the crew • Provide recommendations for efficiency and compliance gains through appropriate channels • Ensure customer satisfaction • Position may be required to communicate directly with the end user(s) • Some domestic travel may be required • May be required to drive a Freedom Forever vehicle • Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education & Certifications: • High School Graduate or GED Experience: • 6 months to 1 year of PV installation experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Fundamental understanding of all PV products installed by Freedom Forever • Basic understanding of building standards and applicable codes • Ability to communicate with others professionally and concisely • Compliant installation of conduit (EMT, RMC, IMC, LFMC and FMC) • Follow written and verbal instructions Special Skills & Training: • All assigned Freedom Forever training modules and documentation must be completed by the designated due date • Optional training (Freedom Forever and external party) may be completed at the employee’s discretion outside of business hours PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls • Stand for long periods of time • Walk or run for long periods of time • Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles • Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out • Repeat the same movements • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away • Determine the distance between objects • Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects • Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls • Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm • Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects • Understand the speech of another person • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness • Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet • While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side • Lift 50+ pounds TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS (Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.) Commercial Solar Electrician

Solar Technologies, a leading Bay Area solar contractor, is looking for a full time Commercial Solar Electrician to complete AC electrical work on commerical solar projects. The postion will only involve electrical specific work on commerical solar projects. Must have journeyman certification and should have a strong work ethic, good attitude, professional appearance, ability to work on your own and be reliable. Important to note that only certifed or licensed applicant will be considered for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating code compliant electrical work on commercial projects, installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment, candidates must have a clean driving record, reliable transportation. Projects are located throughout the Bay Area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of solar PV systems • Install inverters, conduit/raceways, and electrical equipment as necessary • Operation of equipment relevant to installation. I.e.
