Job Summary In the role of PV Solar and Battery Crew Lead, you will oversee solar installation projects, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and safety protocols. Reporting to the Project Manager, your core skills in electrical work, blueprint reading, and roofing will be essential for leading your team effectively. Your premium skills in high and low voltage systems will enhance project efficiency, while relevant experience in construction and tool operation will support successful installations. Key Responsibilities • Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems in accordance with design plans and safety codes. • Install battery storage systems (e.g., Tesla, Enphase, Point Guard, etc.) per manufacturer specifications and local code. • Perform system wiring including AC/DC electrical connections, conduit runs, and inverter connections. • Ensure compliance with OSHA and NEC safety standards. • Assist with system commissioning and testing. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams. • Provide on-site support to other team members and manage progress effciently. • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site. • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and office staff. • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs as needed. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred. • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in solar PV and/or battery storage installation. • Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and construction techniques related to solar and battery systems. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work on roofs, and use ladders and safety harnesses. • Comfortable working in various weather conditions. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). • NABCEP certification a plus, but not required. • Basic understanding of electrical systems preferred. • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
