The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Solar Installer will ensure that all installations comply with local codes and regulations while delivering high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities • Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems. • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately. • Utilize hand tools and power tools to install fixtures and components safely and efficiently. • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal installation locations based on roof structure and sunlight exposure. • Perform electrical connections, ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. • Troubleshoot issues related to high voltage systems and resolve them promptly. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Operate forklifts for material handling as needed during installations. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards. Skills • Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints related to solar installations. • Strong knowledge of NEC regulations pertaining to solar energy systems. • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and equipment for installation tasks. • Familiarity with roofing structures and installation techniques. • Ability to work safely with high voltage electrical systems. • Competence in using a voltmeter for testing electrical connections. • Experience in fixture installation within residential or commercial settings is preferred. • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
