Lead Solar Crew Installer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our fast growing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols. The Solar Installer will work closely to lead other team members to ensure high-quality installations that meet industry standards. Responsibilities • Properly lead a crew of 3 to efficiently complete solar+battery jobs. • Communicate throughout the day to operations manager on how the job is going. • Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground mounts according to project specifications. • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement and system design. • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes. • Work with electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage components, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on installed solar systems as needed. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards. • Adhere to all safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel. Experience • Previous experience managing and leading 3/4 man crews to efficiently complete residential roof and ground projects • Previous experience in construction or electrical work is preferred, especially in roles involving roofing or plumbing tasks. • Familiarity with ENPHASE microinverter/battery systems. • Familiarity with using voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment is advantageous. • Experience as a residential electrician or in a similar role is a plus, but not mandatory. • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents related to solar installations is beneficial. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position. • Ability to do main panel upgrades with assistance. • Candidate bringing own tools/vehicle is highly preferred. • Willingness to commute within a 2 hour radius with fuel reimbursement.
