Solar Installation Crew Lead

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and construction, with the ability to install solar energy systems efficiently and safely. This role involves working in various environments, including residential and commercial sites, and requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards. Duties • Install solar panels and related equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems according to specifications. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols. • Utilize power tools and equipment effectively, ensuring proper handling and maintenance. • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to execute installations accurately. • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of solar installations. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites. • Comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations during installation processes. • Assist in the training of new team members as needed. Skills • Experience in a solar site environment is essential. • Knowledge of PV systems and electrical work is required. • Familiarity with NEC standards is a plus. • Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively. • Ability to plumb installations accurately for optimal performance. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and technical documents. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills are necessary for successful collaboration with colleagues.
