Mechanical Engineer

Purpose: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our client in providing shore-side maintenance and construction services for a variety of facilities. This role will involve designing and reviewing mechanical systems for infrastructure such as utilities, piers/docks, hangars, offices, housing complexes, and industrial facilities, including water treatment plants, fuel farms, and steam generation plants. Responsibilities: • Conduct independent technical reviews, field investigations, and project scope development to support construction and maintenance efforts. • Provide mechanical engineering troubleshooting and consultations, offering technical guidance to Project Managers. • Perform comprehensive technical reviews of engineering studies, reports, scopes of work, and project drawings. • Collaborate with engineers, architects, construction managers, and contractors to resolve complex mechanical engineering challenges. • Review and provide feedback on design-build and design-bid-build project designs. • Develop technical responses for contractor inquiries and assist in preparing Scopes of Work for contract modifications. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program. • Knowledge of National Building Codes, including International Building Code, International Residential Code, and NFPA standards. • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fuel systems, tanks, pumps, piping, steam, and minor structural elements. • Minimum 2 years of experience drafting mechanical blueprints using AutoCAD. Manufacturing Engineer Ardent Staffing Solutions | Warwick, RI $38–$42/hour | Temp-to-Perm About the Role Ardent Staffing Solutions is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer (Temp-to-Perm) to own equipment uptime, optimize processes, and provide technical leadership on the production floor. You will build programs and processes, improve manufacturability, and drive continuous improvement from development through full-scale production.
