Job Summary: The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic provides support to the Engineering Services group by operating and performing daily checks on Direct and Indirect industrial HVAC equipment/systems and assists higher level mechanics with repairs in compliance with company and departmental SOPs. Individual will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented, team environment and will perform tasks that are routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Individual will maintain records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form. Key Responsibilities: • Support project team for start-up and commissioning of new industrial HVAC equipment associated with the new Central Utilities Building (CUB) and manufacturing building. Initial schedule will be standard office hours M-F during the project phase and will transition to a shift-based schedule to align with 24/7 manufacturing operations • Performs all work safely, adhering to GMP guidelines, SOP's and work instructions. Act as an SME to coach team on updated work instructions and core SOPs • Responsible for operation of HVAC systems and application of preventative maintenance practices to maintain equipment. Coach and cross-train technicians where skills deficiencies are identified • Responsible for advanced troubleshooting and repair of direct and indirect HVAC equipment & systems. Act as an SME for less experienced technicians • Responsible for maintaining HVAC areas to a level of audit readiness at all times. Routinely audit HVAC spaces to ensure compliance and audit readiness • Responsible for maintaining an in good standing status with training as it relates to aspects of the job. This role requires training other technicians and gaining Train the Trainer access • SME knowledge of HVAC core SOPs and excursion response procedures and the ability to respond appropriately to alarm conditions and equipment failure • Practical application of CMMS functions necessary to document assigned maintenance activities. Coach junior technicians on CMMS navigation. Demonstrate ability to query the CMMS for basic functions such as overdue work orders and department backlog • Demonstrated practical knowledge of Spare Parts policies and procedures related to parts transactions • Access to Quality systems (DMS & Track wise) and demonstrated ability to generate quality records in support of departmental needs. (QTO, Investigation, etc) • Access to required DCS's including DeltaV and the BAS. Demonstrated ability to respond to alarm reporting per governing SOPs and coach junior technicians on alarm response • Responsible for participation in safety training programs • Responsible for using tools and equipment in a safe manner in accordance to manufacturer and plant safety guidelines • Train and coach team on best practices and proper use • Practical application of equipment schematics, P&ID's and engineering drawings as it relates to HVAC equipment • Access to Vault and demonstrated ability to pull required engineering documents for job functions and troubleshooting • Act as SME on engineering documentation navigation. Collaborate with Reliability and Engineering on projects and repairs • As SME, assist with root cause investigations related to equipment failures • In addition to adherence of stated competencies and behaviors, reference to the maintenance skills matrix will be used to assess level 1 proficiency.
