The Mechanical Engineer II report directly to the Sensors Interconnects Section within the Tactical Radars and Effectors (TRE) Department. The TRE Department leads mechanical and hardware design, development, production of radar, sonar, torpedo, communication, and combat system equipment across locations in California, Arizona, Texas, and Massachusetts. The Sensors Interconnects Section provides complex Interconnect solutions for above and below sea combatant platforms, mobile and stationary ground platforms, missiles, manned/unmanned programs across all platforms and onsite support. What You Will Do Use mechanical and electrical flow down to design, select components, and route cables using CREO to verify cable path, volume capture, lengths, and interfaces. Use mechanical and electrical information to develop interconnections sketches, diagrams, and other engineering information to generate conceptual designs and drawings in tools such as CREO, AutoCAD, and Windchill.
