Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering (10+ years preferred) with a strong background in SolidWorks, sporting goods, and firearms manufacturing. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and leading projects from conception through to completion. Experience with automation cells, CNC machinery, and manufacturing process optimization is highly desired. --- Responsibilities - Design and develop firearm components, sporting goods, and mechanical systems using SolidWorks and other CAD software. - Create detailed schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation. - Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes, including automation cells and CNC prototyping/production. - Conduct simulations and tests using MATLAB and LabVIEW to evaluate and refine designs. - Collaborate with machinists, technicians, and management to ensure project requirements and timelines are met. - Manage project scheduling and lead continuous improvement initiatives for production and product design. - Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations. - Troubleshoot and resolve engineering and production issues throughout the design and manufacturing phases. - Draft comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals. --- Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in firearms or sporting goods manufacturing. - Expert proficiency with SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings) and CAD software. - Experience with automation cells and manufacturing automation. - Proficiency in creating schematics and technical drawings. - Strong experience with MATLAB for simulations and data analysis. - Experience with LabVIEW for data acquisition and control applications. - Familiarity with Arduino for embedded system projects is a plus. - Knowledge of project scheduling techniques and ability to manage timelines effectively. - Solid background in mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. - Ability to draft clear and comprehensive documentation for engineering processes. - Experience operating CNC machinery is beneficial. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. - Experience in a small shop environment is a plus. --- Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year Benefits: • Paid time off Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift Location: • Logan, UT 84341 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Logan, UT 84341: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
