Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team as a key member of the Quality Assurance department. They will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance throughout our manufacturing processes. • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T call outs to ensure accurate product inspection. • Perform visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections in accordance with approved documentation to verify product quality. • Prepare inspection reports and logs that show the details of all tests and/or inspections performed to maintain record accuracy. • Report nonconformities and support resolution efforts through communication with project managers, quality engineers, and quality control supervisors to address any issues promptly. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure employee well-being. Responsibilities: • Safely operate standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.) to perform inspections and achieve accurate results. • Train and assist other inspectors with their duties as needed to enhance team performance. • Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes and contribute to business growth. • Collaborate with project managers, quality engineers, and quality control supervisors to resolve nonconformities and implement corrective actions. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred for advanced skills and knowledge. • Previous experience working in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment is preferred for understanding industry standards. • Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T call outs to ensure accurate product inspection. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with team members and resolve issues. • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working under NQA-1, ISO, and/or DOE Order 414.1D quality programs to demonstrate expertise in quality management. • Knowledge of ASME Section III and/or ASME Section VIII quality programs to apply relevant standards and guidelines. • Familiarity with AISC quality program to leverage industry best practices.
