Job Profile The company is looking for an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for providing engineering design support such as breaking down CAD models for build sequence and Bill of Material accuracy, designing for manufacturing/assembly/service (DFX) recommendations, and developing fixtures. Additionally, work on Lean efforts to eliminate waste. Efforts include but are not limited to process improvement, workflow, standard work, setup reduction, and facilitating continuous improvement with employee teams. Required to be knowledgeable of current manufacturing processes and will be required to spend significant amounts of time actively working in production departments. Consistently demonstrate high levels of responsibility and accountability working effectively and efficiently. Education Level • BSc in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline Work Experience • Experience reading instructional drawings and schematics. Duties/Responsibilities Lean process improvement- • Value Stream management • 5S • Standard Work • Machine setup reduction • Safety and ergonomics • Fool-proofing • Facilitate and train employees in improvement efforts Engineering design support- • Design for Manufacturing departments • Design for Assembly department • Design for Service and Repair department • Jigs and fixtures • Engineering drawings for Weld and Assembly departments • Production control/ERP support updates to: • Bills of material • Routings Project Management (New Equipment Acquisition)- • Preparation – Facility, tools, software, consumables, planning, maintenance • Implementation – Delivery, testing and tuning, training, production hand-off • Continual Improvement – Design for manufacturability, capability presentation, training, KPIs, issue trending Work interactively with Department Managers to achieve department goals. Set positive examples in leadership, safety, and work ethics.
