Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Mechanical and MEP group at our growing RTP office as a SME Mechanical Engineer. Responsibilities • Perform engineering design evaluations and lead project engineering design, specific to Mechanical and HVAC Engineering. • Have thorough knowledge of the applicable Building, Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing Codes. • Design mechanical systems, conduct energy modeling analysis, and perform energy code compliance calculations. • Prepare engineering analysis of projects including preliminary design, budget analysis, calculations, life cycle costs, and equipment selection. • Prepare drawings and layouts; proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD. • Prepare technical construction specifications. • Coordinate with other disciplines both in-house and with outside consultants. • Perform field observations as part of the construction quality assurance process. Essential Skills • 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution. • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred. • High level of written and verbal communication skills. • High attention to detail. • Proficient computer skills in Revit and AutoCAD. • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel). Electro-Mechanical Technician
