Key Responsibilities • Perform daily post-operational inspections on production machinery. • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with equipment such as conveyor systems, washers, dryers, and other specific machinery. • Identify root causes of downtime and implement effective long-term solutions. • Maintain accurate maintenance and parts inventory records. • Set up machinery with correct packaging and date codes. • Perform welding, fabrication, and general facility maintenance as needed. • Follow all safety and biosecurity procedures, promptly reporting any issues or violations. Qualifications & Skills • Strong mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills. • Hands-on experience with welding, machine tools, and pipefitting. • Working knowledge of valves, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical components. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints or schematics. • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. • Basic math proficiency and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and online research). • Strong attention to detail with solid organizational and prioritization skills. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining a sense of urgency and accountability. • Familiarity with safe work practices including lockout/tagout, fall protection, electrical safety, and proper PPE use. • Physically capable of performing job duties including climbing, lifting, bending, standing, and squatting for extended periods.
