Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Process Engineer Location: Onsite – Greer, SC Reports To: Operations & Engineering Manager Overview We’re seeking a motivated Mechanical Process Engineer (0–3 years’ experience) to support process development, system optimization, and equipment design in an industrial manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who wants hands-on exposure to real-world factory systems and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Assist in developing P&IDs, mechanical layouts, and equipment designs. • Support design and optimization of systems such as conveyors, air handling, HVAC, paint booths, heat exchangers, and process ovens. • Conduct time studies, airflow simulations, and thermal balancing analyses. • Participate in site visits, equipment testing, and commissioning activities. • Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical documentation. • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, controls, and project engineering teams. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. • Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience preferred. • Working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing systems. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. • Willingness to travel for project and site support (approximately 40%). • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Work Environment • Primarily office-based engineering role with approximately 40% travel to client sites or project locations. • May occasionally require handling of light technical equipment or tools.
