Mechanical Engineer

Job description Are you an Engineer interested in joining a small manufacturing team? Details: We’re looking for a self-motivated Mechanical (or similar) Engineer to be a Project Manager for our niche fabrication team. Excellent time management, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving ability and conflict resolution, critical path scheduling, positive can-do winning attitude, and outstanding integrity will be required. Here are the main functions of this position: • Creating Fabrication drawings in Solidworks. • Manage projects through coordinating the team, and schedules to ensure product is completed on time. Since you are detail oriented and like specifics, here are more explicit Responsibilities within the two areas: • Create and modify 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD • Produce 3D drawings and other fabrication documents • Perform basic engineering calculations • Resolving and clarifying design issues • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with quality standards • Implementing project schedules including each task associated with project completion • Tracking project phase completion against milestones • Collaborating with Management for proper allocation and tracking of resources • Assist with development of new mechanical systems, tooling, and machinery • Complete a bill of materials and data sheet once the product design is finalized • Participating in meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns • Manage projects through coordinating the team, and schedules to ensure product is completed on time. • Produce shop drawing packages, assist with estimates, generate work orders, and purchase orders • Manage raw materials to make certain that resources are available to keep production moving. • Management of tools, vehicles, and equipment, to make certain that the production team has what it needs to keep peak efficiency. • Mechanical, welding, carpentry, and/or composite manufacturing experience are preferred. In order to succeed in this role, here are eight necessary Competencies and five personal traits needed: • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar disciplines. • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD (CSWA or 2-3 years’ experience beyond coursework). • Proficiency with CAM (Fusion 360 or other software). • Excellent time management, and organizational skills. • Multi-tasking skills and the ability to coordinate work on several facets of a project. • Good communication skills; written and verbal. • Ability to read and comprehend structural engineering drawings and construction plans. • Proficiency with Microsoft office (especially Excel and Outlook) is necessary. • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and other mechanical engineering concepts. • Active Team Player with positive attitude. • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills (think outside the box). • Attention to detail. Mechanical Equipment Specialist

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chiller Technician to join our team. As a journeyman-level technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing central plant equipment, including chillers, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, and other auxiliary equipment. • Maintain and repair chillers, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, and other auxiliary equipment. • Overhaul centrifugal chillers as required. • Familiar with all aspects of rigging. • Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion. • Availability for emergency service calls through normal rotation. • Responsible for end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning. • Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties for chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment. • Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all associated equipment of chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment. Required Skills and Qualifications • 5 years of work experience at the journeyman level and technical schooling. • Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience required. • Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants. • HVAC large tonnage field knowledge is required. • Must be available for emergency service calls through normal rotation. • EPA certified. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Valid driver's license.
