Position Information Job Series: Sciences – Engineers Classification: Engineer Class Code: SEN01P Pay Grade: SPC03 Salary Range: $71,027 – $105,120 Job Summary The Engineer applies core engineering principles and scientific methods to a wide range of projects, systems, or processes. This versatile role is not limited to a single engineering discipline; instead, it demands a broad technical acumen that spans areas such as mechanical, civil, electrical, industrial, or even software engineering depending on the agency’s or organization’s needs. Engineers are responsible for researching, designing, testing, and improving products or processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. They serve as problem-solvers who bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, often collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions. Primary Responsibilities Conceptualize and develop engineering designs for projects, from initial research and feasibility studies through implementation. Create technical drawings, schematics, and prototypes using computer-aided design and other modeling tools. Analyze scientific data and perform experiments or simulations to validate design hypotheses. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle, recommending practical improvements or alternative solutions. Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations that communicate technical findings, design choices, and process improvements to both technical and non-technical personnel. Maintain accurate records and ensure that all work complies with regulatory and safety standards. Work closely with other engineering teams, production personnel, quality assurance, and management to ensure project milestones are met while adhering to designated budgets and schedules. Provide technical support during installation, testing, and operational phases to ensure smooth project transitions. Evaluate existing processes and systems to recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize performance. Keep abreast of emerging engineering technologies and methodologies to incorporate best practices into current projects. Knowledge and Skills Strong foundation in engineering principles coupled with hands-on experience in using industry-standard software (such as computer aided design, simulation, and data analysis tools). Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and derive solutions for design or process challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document and convey technical information to varied audiences. Proven ability to work well in cross-functional teams, contributing to collective problem-solving and project success. Eagerness to keep abreast of evolving technology, methodologies, and industry best practices. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Mechanical Service Technician - Powers - Central Arkansas

Our Mechanical Service Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, control systems, welding, and plumbing. As a Powers technician you are also responsible for excellent customer service. Duties and Responsibilities • Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems. • Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC systems. • Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes. • Maintain maintenance records. • Order and maintain parts as needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment. • Manage relationships with all vendor accounts. • Properly maintain and safeguard Powers assets. Skills and Abilities • Able to organize work and meet deadlines. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. • Understands and has mastered the refrigeration cycles. • Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging. • Understands and has mastered the heating cycle. • Understands and has mastered electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC • currents, single phase and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits. • Understands and has mastered the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and its temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and distribution. • Understands and has mastered all types of HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates in conjunction with the other components and how that impacts the overall operations of the system as a whole. • Knowledge of Windows operating systems. Mechanical Engineer - EI

As part of the Buildings team for Garver, this Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing mechanical designs in support of various Buildings projects. Specifically, this responsibility will include a variety of projects related to planning, design, and commissioning of: • Building HVAC system(s) • Building plumbing system(s) • Building fire protection system(s) • Building whole building energy modeling • Building sustainability requirements reporting In addition, this role will include coordination with other support disciplines, and coordination with regional offices. Assisting project managers in management of projects. Following quality assurance and quality control plans. Periodic travel to project sites will be required.
