Mechanical Superintendent

Your Job DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a proactive Mechanical Superintendent to lead the installation of racking and modules across multiple utility-scale solar projects nationwide. In this role, you'll supervise and develop in-house construction teams, manage equipment and procurement, and ensure efficient, safe execution of the mechanical scope. Your leadership will foster strong team relationships, support continuous process improvement, and drive successful project delivery. You will play a key role in cultivating DEPCOM's culture of safety, collaboration, and operational excellence. The DEPCOM In-House Construction group, directly executes mechanical work on utility-scale solar projects. What You Will Do • Lead and mentor the mechanical self-perform team, including general foremen and foremen, to ensure safe, high-quality racking and module installation. • Develop and coach team members, fostering professional growth and a culture of collaboration and accountability. • Coordinate tools, equipment, and procurement with internal teams to support efficient project execution. • Develop and communicate a comprehensive 3 week look ahead for Mechanical disciplines on the project • Maintain schedules, track progress, and implement process improvements to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and operational standards. • Travel to multiple project sites nationwide, building strong relationships with your team and contributing to DEPCOM's culture of excellence and innovation. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) • Experience with pile driving, racking installation, and module installation • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications • Experience leading or managing a team • Valid driver's license What Will Put You Ahead • Ability to operate equipment when necessary • Racking systems such as GameChange, ATI, and NextTracker • Experience with procurement and labor management tools For this role, we anticipate paying $110,000 - $135,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs. Engineering Technician

Summary: Repairs and maintains, according to prescribed specifications, production machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and various testing equipment and fabricates and repairs other related items and assists the engineering department with various projects Key Accountabilities: • Receives work order from Maintenance Manager and responds to the order • Examines mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment using various test instruments or blueprints as necessary and diagnoses problem • Determines best method of repair and replacement and secures tools required to perform work, transporting tools to machine or carrying defective part (s) to maintenance shop • Dismantles equipment as needed using hoists, lifts, tools, etc. to gain access to problem area • Removes, lubricates, and cleans defective parts as necessary • Examines or measures parts to determine extent of damage and decides whether repair or replacement is necessary • Repairs parts using hand tools, and power tools or secures replacement part from maintenance storeroom • Obtains assistance from machinist if needed • Reassembles parts and equipment and makes adjustments as required • Observes equipment and parts when back in operation to assure problem has been effectively resolved and machinery is functioning properly • Cleans work area around machinery or in machine shop and returns useable items to storeroom and tools to designated storage area • Fabricates racks, buggies, tables, etc. and other projects from sketches, drawings, and blueprints using metal, plastic, and or wood • Utilizes machine shop equipment including drill press, band saws, grinder, and welder • Performs some design work on special projects and initates purchase requistions for parts and other supplies as needed • Completes preventative maintenance assignments as required and reports malfuntioning production machinery to Maintenance Manager • Installs new equipment and machinery as designed by Engineering Department and Maintenance • Assists directing maintenance technician trainee to properly carry out lubrication program and in keeping maintenance shop clean and orderly • Keeps Company equipment and tools organized and operational • Performs other related work as required

Design Engineer

About the position Responsibilities • Initiate and execute project plans, which include the scheduled actions, and the resources required to meet the project objectives. • Perform and document design calculations and verify all necessary tolerance stack ups for new designs and design revisions. • Conduct product design reviews and follow through on recommended changes. • Develop verification plans using engineering processes. Write effective test requests. Work in Engineering Lab to execute tests and analyze engineering data with Lab Technicians. • Analyze results and clearly summarize the findings in technical reports. Present results to the organization as well as to customers in support of engineering projects. • Maintain product design control, initiate, and follow through on engineering changes, and verify all documentation of new designs or design changes is complete. • Resolve product performance issues through team-oriented problem solving and document according to the 8D process for root cause. • Provide technical support to other functional areas. Interface with internal organizations such as sales, manufacturing, marketing, service, quality and purchasing, as well as external customers and suppliers. • Promote quality and continuous improvement philosophy. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering field. • Masters or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent degree. • Preferred 5 years of professional experience in developing and testing to validate system performance. • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrohydraulic systems and the respective components. • General understanding of manufacturing processes as it relates to machining and Design for Manufacturability. • Solid hands-on mechanical skills and possess strong troubleshooting; demonstrate technical background and work experiences. • Experience working with model-based design tools such as Matlab/Simulink/CAD. • Experience working collaboratively with customers, both internal and external, to understand requirements and/or troubleshoot application and product issues. • Organize and prioritize work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time. • Ability to apply creative approaches and ideas to solve problems maximizing effective use of appropriate resources.
