This role supervises maintenance staff and coordinates with contractors to maintain, repair, install, and upgrade building infrastructure, utilities, and production machinery which includes state of the art precision CNC and mechanical equipment. Key Responsibilities Facilities & Grounds Management • Manage and maintain the building envelope, infrastructure and surrounding grounds. • Plan and coordinate new construction and renovation projects; work with contractors; assist in drawing floor plans. • Direct installation, relocation, removal of non-production equipment and building utilities. • Supervise general cleaning/upkeep (e.g., sweeping, mopping, window washing) and facility support tasks. • Requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies for facility operations. • Inspect work completed by crew or contractor to ensure conformance with blueprints, specifications and company standards. • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations as they apply to facility operations. • Recommend improvements in working conditions or equipment to enhance efficiency. Equipment & Production Maintenance • Direct maintenance team in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic repairs of industrial machinery and equipment. • Assist technicians in diagnosing and solving machinery malfunctions. • Oversaw dismantling, assembly, installation, and modification of production equipment, including robotics and programmable controllers. • Establish & maintain preventative maintenance (PM) program for production and facility equipment. • Estimate labor hours for assignments based on production requirements. • Interpret blueprints, specifications and job orders; assign duties to workers accordingly. • Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment performance, quality, and efficiency. Leadership & Coordination • Supervise, coordinate and motivate maintenance staff and contractors. • Work closely with other supervisors and departments to ensure smooth operations and prioritize maintenance needs. • Participate in weekly production meetings and project-planning sessions. • Analyze and resolve work problems, providing technical support or escalation when needed. • Build and maintain strong contractor relationships; manage outside contractor tasks and scheduling. Qualifications • Degree in a relevant field (Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, or other Engineering Disciplines) or equivalent maintenance / hands-on experience. • Proven experience supervising maintenance/facility teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Broad knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural), and industrial equipment maintenance. • Capability to read/interpreting blueprints, schematics and production drawings. • Strong project-management skills: able to plan, schedule, oversee multiple concurrent maintenance and renovation projects. • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills. • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory/compliance standards. • Ability to work in a large facility (approximately 67,000 sq ft) and manage both grounds/facilities and production-equipment responsibilities.
