Jr Project Engineer

HOT JOB IN DALLAS, TX OR BATESVILLE, AR Jr Project Engineer $90-110k My client manufactures lime and limestone products, supplying primarily the construction (including highway, road and parking lot contractors), metals (including steel producers), environmental (including municipal sanitation and water treatment facilities and flue gas treatment), oil and gas services, industrial (including paper and glass manufacturers), roof shingle and agriculture (including poultry and cattle feed producers) industries. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and primarily serves markets in the Central United States and consists of open-pit quarries and an underground mine, plants and distributions facilities owned by their wholly owned subsidiaries. They are seeking a highly motivated Jr Project Engineer to support capital improvement projects and plant modernization initiatives across our operations. This full-time, salaried position is a key developmental role designed to build future engineering leadership within the company. The Jr Project Engineer will work closely with the corporate engineering team and plant leadership to plan, execute, and deliver Capex projects that improve safety, efficiency, and performance. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical or process engineering background, exceptional organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving in industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter looking to grow into a senior engineering role. Key Responsibilities Project Engineering & Support • Assist in the planning, execution, and closeout of capital projects across multiple facilities. • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules in coordination with plant and corporate teams. • Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and systems. • Conduct field evaluations and verify existing conditions to support design activities. Technical Support & Problem Solving • Work with plant operations and maintenance to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues. • Support data collection, process audits, and technical evaluations of system performance. • Provide engineering input for equipment selection, layout, and optimization. • Assist in developing and updating SOPs and technical documentation. Vendor & Contractor Coordination • Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to ensure quality, cost, and schedule alignment. • Review and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and installation specs. • Oversee on-site project work to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Safety & Compliance • Promote and support a culture of safety across all project work. • Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with MSHA, OSHA, and environmental regulations. • Participate in hazard reviews, permitting, and safety documentation preparation. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. • 2–5 years of experience in industrial, mining, lime, or cement environments. • Familiarity with project engineering, Capex planning, and process systems. • Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude; hands-on approach required. • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. • Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and project management tools. • Ability to travel to plant sites, including Marble City, OK and Batesville, AR. Working Conditions • Work performed in high-temperature, dusty, and noisy industrial environments, both indoors and outdoors. • Physically demanding role requiring: • Prolonged standing, climbing ladders/stairs, and working at heights • Lifting up to 50 lbs • Exposure to extreme heat, rotating machinery, and pressurized systems Schedule • 8+ hour shifts (rotating or fixed, depending on production needs) • Monday – Friday schedule; extended hours and weekends as needed for project deadlines. Maintenance Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY: Follow established procedures and guidelines to create and maintain a safe and adequate working facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Perform all work in a safe manner • Follow the training, instruction, and procedures provided by the Area Manager or Supervisor • Pay attention to the work being performed • Comply with all established procedures (GMP and SOP requirements). • Meet established standards for quantity or volume of work required • If using any type of equipment or machine, operate the machine as instructed and never change methods, tamper with controls, change settings, or do anything else that will affect the established process • Be considerate of co-workers and visitors • Keep the immediate work area clean and neat. • Practice good personal hygiene, avoid objectionable personal habits, wear uniforms, lab coats, hairnets and/or beard guards as designated, and use Personal Protective Equipment if required for the job • Handle products, components and/or materials carefully and in a manner that does not cause contamination or damage. • Ensure that any documentation is properly filled out in a timely manner and sent to the proper destination SPECIFIC JOB ASSIGNMENTS o Perform routine preventive maintenance to equipment, facility and grounds as required thru issued work orders and/or management directives o Assist as needed in equipment changeovers and production line modifications o Diagnose equipment or facility malfunctions and repair when possible o Perform facility electrical and plumbing repairs within their skill level o Interact with vendors or via internet and other means to source materials required to perform job functions o Complete all required paperwork and log books for each maintenance request o Conduct all maintenance activities in full compliance with applicable SOPs and as directed by supervision o Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: On the job training, job specific. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma preferred. experience in plumbing, electrical and machine mechanic required basic computer skill Preference will be given to degree and/or licensed professionals.
