Scrub Technician Specialist

At Russellville Hospital, our Surgical Team is seeking a dedicated Scrub Tech to contribute to a compassionate and high-performing healthcare environment. About the Role: The ideal candidate will assist in providing safe and effective care to surgical patients by supporting surgeons and the operating room team throughout procedures. This includes preparing the OR with instruments, sutures and supplies, assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping, maintaining accurate counts of surgical instruments and sponges, and upholding HIPAA standards and patient privacy. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare the OR for procedures • Assist with patient positioning and preparation • Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments and sponges • Support aseptic and sterile techniques • Handle surgical specimens appropriately • Ensure equipment is in working order before procedures • Communicate effectively with patients, staff and physicians • Contribute to patient safety initiatives and error prevention strategies Qualifications: • Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent prior training • Current CPR certification (hospital-based) • Minimum 1 year of OR experience preferred • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and instrument care • Ability to work in physically demanding environments • Commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and continuous learning Work Environment: • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and surgical fumes • Physical requirements include the ability to lift to 100 lbs • Must be comfortable working in fast-paced OR settings with diverse patient populations Why Join Our Team? Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Process Technician to join our team. As an expert in business operations with regard to automated and robotic processes, this position will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and basic maintenance on robotic equipment, monitoring its operation, and assisting workers in how to operate and maintain the equipment effectively.
