Job Description: The primary objective of Improvement Facilitator is to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all improvement aspects within their area of responsibility at the Jackson Mill. Duties & Responsibilities: • Identify opportunities for improvement within his/her area of responsibility and approve standards developed from these efforts • Responsible for developing and implementing activities that support the annual action plan specifically as they relate to improvement projects • Design or develop new or alterations to existing structures, systems, and equipment • Provide timely and accurate cost estimates on proposed improvement efforts • Support and participate in CAPEX projects • Develop and coach employees capabilities and knowledge in the application of QIS methodology and participate as required in QIS events • Participate and contribute to the achievement of department goals including goal setting • Serve as a resource to facilitate the vertical and horizontal help chain • Responsible for data entry into GMR and/or other systems utilized for tracking goals and projects • Assist with safety related activities within the area The Individual: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field. • Minimum 4-6 years of practical training pertaining to scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, maintenance, finishing, and/or shipping/warehouse operations, and to include some supervisory and facilitation experience. • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the business system and of steel manufacturing methods and techniques involving the use of heavy mill machinery and related equipment. We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. The Millwright will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and dismantling machinery and equipment in industrial settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • *Qualifications:** • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred. - Proven experience as a Millwright -Minimum 5 yrs experience in craft • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions. • Must be able to work at heights. • *Responsibilities:** • Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment according to specifications. • Maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal performance. • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues. • Dismantle machinery and equipment for repair or transportation. • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, cleaning, and adjusting equipment. • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. • *Skills:** • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge. • Excellent attention to detail. • Ability to work well independently and in a team. • Good communication skills. • Problem-solving abilities. • Excellent attendance required Must pass drug test/ physical / Everify Background check Journeyman rate with minimum 5 years verifiable experience is 30.00 hr and 700.00 a week per diem if at least 50 miles from home and you work 100% scheduled hours. If you miss time, per diem is paid at "days worked" rate of 100.00 per day- subject to minimum of 8 hrs worked.
