Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience. Duties of the mechanic will be performed on location at customer site. Requirements - · Current, valid driver license • Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments • Preferred candidates will possess previous industrial/mechanical maintenance experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools. • Determines changes in dimensional requirements and adjusts functional parts of equipment by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Controls downtime through use of effective routine preventive maintenance techniques. • Conserve’s maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills • 5+ years in maintenance management/supervision experience. Team building experience. • Experience with machining, fabrication, and welding shop activities. Experience with mobile equipment repairs and maintainability. • Material conveying, heat generation, and air handling experience. Experience with complex hydraulic/Thermal oil systems. • Predictive/Preventive/Corrective maintenance program experience. ISO 9000 and/or lean manufacturing experience a plus. • High school diploma along with formal training in industrial or technical school training and certification is required.
