Our Columbus, MS facility is currently seeking to fill a 2nd shift Mechanic position. Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen. Classification and base pay rate will be dependent upon skillset and prior experience. Duties of the mechanic will be performed on location at customer site. Requirements - · Current, valid driver license • Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments • Preferred candidates will possess previous industrial/mechanical maintenance experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools. • Determines changes in dimensional requirements and adjusts functional parts of equipment by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Controls downtime through use of effective routine preventive maintenance techniques. • Conserve’s maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. TOOLS USED: hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, indicators, gages, micrometers PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Work is performed at ground level and above. Frequent: Walking, standing, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying of twenty (20) lbs or less. Occasional: Climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying of fifty (50) – thirty (30) lbs. Mechanical Supervisor

Position Summary To direct and control the team for all mechanical maintenance functions in designated area, PM routing and optimization, predictive maintenance, equipment repairs, fire system maintenance, contractor maintenance, and coordinate special projects as assigned by maintenance manager Principal Duties & Responsibilities • Coordinate special projects as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. • Maintain company records drawings, manuals, and any other instructional documents. • Work with outside contractors for scheduled work, outside vendors to order items, check order status and obtain product information as it relates to upcoming maintenance activities; ensure availability of adequate spare parts and supplies as it relates to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. • Recommend and schedule maintenance activities with site leadership team. • Ensure that millwrights are trained in proper maintenance and repair of new technologies and equipment; train team members on all plant policies and procedures, and ensure these are implemented and adhered to; assist with maintenance repair problems; monitor and evaluate team member performance. • Assist purchasing with the development of an effective parts and supplies control system to maintain an adequate inventory of spares at minimum cost. • Recommend changes in operating procedures to improve efficiency and safety of equipment operation. • Maintain a predictive and preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime by optimizing PM routing and PDM technologies and content as necessary. • Maintain fire system records as necessary for insurance compliance. • Work with Shift Supervisors to promote smooth operations and maximum efficiency of the plant. • Perform other related duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills • 5+ years in maintenance management/supervision experience. Team building experience. • Experience with machining, fabrication, and welding shop activities. Experience with mobile equipment repairs and maintainability. • Material conveying, heat generation, and air handling experience. Experience with complex hydraulic/Thermal oil systems. • Predictive/Preventive/Corrective maintenance program experience. ISO 9000 and/or lean manufacturing experience a plus. • High school diploma along with formal training in industrial or technical school training and certification is required.
