Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description As a Mechanical Engineer, you will study specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data. You will collaborate with engineering, service, and shop personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing procedures, and cost. Your work will involve 70% in Creo for production orders and new product development, 15% on the floor with production or fabricators doing service and troubleshooting, and 15% ERF integration analysis. Responsibilities • Utilize Creo software for mechanical design and production orders. • Collaborate with various departments to resolve design issues. • Develop and customize special orders and new product designs. • Conduct service and troubleshooting with production teams. • Integrate ERF analysis into mechanical design processes. • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications and bills of materials. Essential Skills • Proficiency in Creo software. • 2-3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering. • Bachelor's or associate's degree in mechanical engineering. • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Ability to design and develop detailed mechanical models and hydraulic schematics. • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with Windchill is preferred. • Hydraulic experience and robotics knowledge are a plus. • ERP system experience is preferred. • Strong communication skills and collaborative abilities. Most work is conducted in the office, with 85% dedicated to design and analysis and 15% on the shop floor. Qualifications: • HS Diploma or GED • At least 3 years in an industrial environment or similar Military Experience. • Skills and experience in welding, electrical and mechanical maintenance. • Experience as an ironworker, millwright or facilities maintenance is preferred. • Team approach to problem solving. • Computer literate; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. • Must have a valid driver’s license. • Ability to interface with internal and external customers. • Travel Required. • Eligible to work various shifts. • Ability to work at customers facilities including the extreme elements indoors and outdoors. • Ability to work from heights. • Work in accordance with OSHA, CMAA, ANSI, ASME, AWS, and other applicable regulations.
