Electrical Technician

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility. Electrical Technician The Electrical Technician supports design and test engineers by building and maintaining test fixtures, setting up and performing test procedures, debugging circuitry, and supporting equipment maintenance. The role includes hands-on work in a lab or shop environment and contributes to new product development and testing. Responsibilities • Set up and configure dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing. • Perform inspections and tests to determine root cause of failures in electronic assemblies, with direction from engineers. • Rework and repair products in accordance with company and industry standards. • Build custom test harnesses, load circuits, and printed circuit boards to support engineering development. • Accurately document and maintain detailed records of work performed, including test data and modification logs. • Communicate process or design issues to the supervisor and assist in developing and implementing corrective actions. • Collaborate professionally and effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and other departments. • Design and construct engineering test fixtures for use in development and validation testing. • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager in support of engineering objectives. Requirements • Associate of Science (A.S.) in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military training, or equivalent relevant experience. • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in electronics, engineering, or manufacturing required. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word. • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and a strong understanding of electronic components. • Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators. • Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems and identifying root causes of failures. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Preferred Skills • Competency in reading and applying information from component datasheets and process specifications. • Skilled in product assembly and disassembly, with experience handling and maintaining lab and test equipment. • Capable of performing basic mechanical work. • Proficient soldering skills. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting mindset. • Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and electronic subassemblies. Civil Engineer

Due to our company’s continued growth, Townsend Engineering has a need for a full-time Licensed Civil Engineer to join our close-knit team in Davenport, Iowa. Our ideal candidate would be a self-motived individual with design experience who enjoys working on various projects, in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining the highest level of client service. The right person would have experience with civil infrastructure projects, preparation plans, and specifications for bidding for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:  Project planning and design  Preparation of project plans and specifications  Perform technical and feasibility studies including site investigations  Interact with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors  Adapt designs to changing circumstances while maintaining schedules and budgets  Inspect facilities or sites to determine if specifications or standards have been met  Direct, or participate in, surveying to lay out installations or establish reference points, grades, or elevations to guide construction.  Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.  Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data.
