Mechanical Supervisor We are looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed to be a part of our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America. • Lead and supervise all work as required for maintaining a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of an LNG facility. • Direct and oversee craft technicians performing daily preventative and corrective maintenance work in mechanical (static equipment and machinery) and soft (scaffolding/insulation) crafts. Key responsibilities include: • Field Execution Leadership / Safety & Quality Assurance • Supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring crews understand scope, procedures, SSHE requirements, and quality standards. • Rapidly address execution issues, providing clear direction, removing obstacles, and escalating complex challenges. • Support and allocate resources to enable success of Management of Change (MOC) processes and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR). • Audit field work for compliance with SSHE standards, equipment isolation, and quality specifications. • Lead After-Action Reviews and incident investigations in your area, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Plant Mechanic Supervisor

SALARY: $35.5112 - $44.3660, Hourly (DOE&Q) NON-EXEMPT OPENING DATE: 04/10/2025 CLOSING DATE: Open Continuous until Filled JOB SUMMARY To perform highly skilled electrical and mechanical work in the maintenance, repair and operation of water and wastewater treatment plants and lines; and to provide lead supervision and technical assistance to Plant Mechanics. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives directions from the Wastewater and Water Utilities Superintendent, or higher supervisory level. Supervision of Plant Mechanics and lower division staff. Exercises technical and functional supervision over maintenance personnel. EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Essential and other important duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the operation, repair, and maintenance, of the City's wastewater and water plants including lift stations, pump station, storm drawn pumping stations, conveyance and distribution lines and related facilities.Ensure compliance with TCEQ (or any equivalent agency) requirements for the sewer plants, water plant and lift stations in regard to electrical systems and equipment. Maintain, install, or replace electrical systems and equipment relating to water and wastewater treatment and municipal facilities including lighting systems, pumps, and other high voltage power systems. Develop and direct a regular inspection schedule of equipment, machinery, and facilities; troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of the water and wastewater systems. Perform general and complex electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks in the servicing of the City's water and wastewater systems and equipment. Repair and replace electrical devices which have been knocked down or broken; make decisions and take action to ensure the safety of people and buildings. Monitor operation of and adjust electrical devices and equipment including timer switches, power generators, printed circuit boards, lamps, fixtures, and AC/DC drives. Perform electrical system wiring and installations. Investigate complaints and reports of electrical malfunctions; adjust, repair, or remove defective equipment; make field repairs of damaged equipment. Operate test instruments such as voltmeter, amp meter, transistor checker, loop meter, and other electronic related equipment. Interpret electrical plans and specifications and provide service as needed. Lubricate and pack pumps, replace worn or damaged parts, and troubleshoot pumping machinery. Clean and check valves, bubbling lines, regulators, compressors, and filters. Replace the bearing, shelves, seals, and belts, as necessary. Assess generators for efficient and proper operation. Perform a variety of preventive maintenance tasks on pumping and electrical equipment and machinery. Maintain accurate work records, order supplies, parts, and materials. Train pump mechanic personnel in the performance of maintenance and repair tasks. Perform skilled electrical work. Prepare reports and maintain records. Perform work at heights. Use and care for tools and equipment used in maintaining and repairing electronic and mechanical devices. Work in emergency situations, with care and discretion. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Experience and Training Guidelines Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way would be: Experience: Five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment used in water and wastewater treatment. Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemental by additional technical courses in electrical maintenance of electronics. Equivalent to five (5) years of coursework, training, and experience of the Journeyman Electrician licensing program. License or Certificate Possession of, or the ability to obtain within two (2) years of appointment as Class II Collections (wastewater) and Class C Distribution (Water) licenses. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate Texas driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
