Job Summary: The Mechanical Designer is responsible for designing parts and assemblies, completing and releasing drawings that meet customer design requirements, industry specifications, and company standards. This role requires timely execution while working under the direction of the Technology and Innovation Manager. Key Responsibilities: · Design of HVAC/R product based on projects, sales and customer needs. · Create detailed and assembly drawings of standard and special machines · Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials for standard and special machines · Prepare a full range of simple and complex 3D/2D models of assemblies and components consisting of mechanical, piping products. · Designer works from sketches (red line), physical examples, computer models, and verbal information supplied by Product manager, Sales, or Customer. · Manage time effectively and maintain compliance with tight deadlines. Qualifications: · High school diploma (technical-mechanical specialization) or associate’s degree (preferably in mechanical drafting or similar). · 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a manufacturing company. · 1-2 years’ experience in HVAC/R is a plus. · Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD (Inventor preferred). · Knowledge/use of PLM (Teamcenter) and ERP (SAP) systems is a plus. · Good knowledge of the Office Suite. · Excellent knowledge of manufacturing design principles and analytical skills. · Bilingual English – Spanish is a plus. · Good interpersonal and communication skills. What You Will Do: The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes and systems for HVAC products.
