Senior HVAC Technical Service Advisor

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an HVAC Technical Service Advisor (TSA). As an HVAC Technical Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing technical training and support for our Rheem/Ruud/Friedrich, Mitsubishi, and Durastar products. The TSA will be responsible for creating and training Ferguson HVAC staff as well as working with the Outside sales team to train and certify contractors on specific products such as Inverter, Commercial roof tops and VRF systems. They will also act as the manager of regional technical issues, while providing solution to technical problems that arise. This position will cover the Central Texas Region If you have prior experience as an HVAC field installer, service technician, trainer, this is an excellent opportunity for you. Responsibilities • Facilitate new equipment installations to ensure the customers have a good experience and feel supported. • Provide remote technical support/assistance troubleshooting product installation and service issues via telephone, remote assistance tool, or email • Handle technical calls from contractors, assist contractors as well as work with manufacturers • Design and implement training curriculums for both contractors and internal associates • Participation in technical selling to convert contractors to our brands of equipment • Serve as a subject matter expert for contractors/dealers, while, providing HVAC equipment product support with courteous customer support and service • Stay abreast of current installation and service practices and information • Work with vendors towards resolution of issues • Conducts occasional on-site/job site visits to provide technical support and assistance, as needed • Ride along with Territory Managers on Dealer recruitment calls and present features and benefits to the owners and service departments. Qualifications • Ability to learn quickly • Degree from an accredited HVAC school or certificate of completion from HVAC technical courses and 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, or equivalent combination of education and related experience, required • Understanding of the installation and service of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, such as furnace, air conditioning, and residential ductless, is required • HVAC Field service, technical support, or certified trainer experience is preferred • Strong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and virtual meeting tools, required • Ability to build PowerPoint presentations and coordinate, facilitate, and lead in-person and remote training sessions, needed • Ability to effectively multi-task and handle deadlines • A positive attitude, passion, and ambition to succeed • Strong attention to detail and accuracy At Ferguson, we care for each other. Commercial HVAC Service Technician - East Texas

About the position Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including chillers, VRV systems, boilers, and pumps. • Commission and service new HVAC equipment including chillers, VRV systems, boilers, and associated controls. • Communicate effectively with other technicians, engineers, managers, and clients. Requirements • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a Certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning is beneficial. • Strong technical aptitude and a solid work ethic. Junior level Engineering Technician (NASA Ballon Program)

Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED certificate. • Two years of related experience • Equivalency – Completion of post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience. • Certifications/License – Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 3 years of employment. • Must be a US Citizen Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a NASA Personal Identity Verification card (PIV). Background check and drug screen required. Desired Qualifications: • Knowledge/experience with stick and heli-arc welding desired. • Knowledge with machine shop tools and machines desired. • Knowledge/experience with forklift and heavy equipment operation desired. • Knowledge of methods and techniques involved with assembly and testing of mechanical hardware. • Knowledge of basic mechanical theory and application. Peraton provides management and technical support for NASA’s scientific balloon program which supports enabling science missions for NASA and universities across the United States and foreign scientific communities. Scientific balloon missions provide researchers inexpensive, relatively quick, long duration access to near space altitudes and environments. Balloon missions cost orders of magnitude less than satellite missions and provide platforms for heavy experiments (some greater than 5000-lbs) to operate for weeks and even months. Balloon missions have provided significant science theories and discoveries about cosmic rays, gamma ray and x-ray astronomy, optical and UV astronomy, atmospheric sciences, and cosmic microwave background studies. Our staff are located at the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility (CSBF) in Palestine, TX where we design, analyze, build and assembly the support hardware and balloon gondola payloads for the missions. We launch the balloons from locations within the United States (Texas, New Mexico, and Hawaii) and around the world including Antarctica, Sweden, New Zealand, and Australia. Our engineers and technician staff support the launches and balloon and payload recoveries in the US and many worldwide locations. Peraton’s NASA Balloon Operations Contract (NBOC) program is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team in Palestine, Texas. Our rural campus offers the ability to work in a low-cost of living area, but within an easy drive of Tyler, Dallas and Houston. Responsibilities of the position: • Assists in fabrication, installation and testing of mechanical units, systems, sub-systems or models from specific drawings and schematic diagrams. • Operates standard test equipment and instruments and records data. • Performs preventative maintenance of light vehicles and equipment, documents and files records for same. • Operates applicable equipment and performs functions to assist with the launch and recovery of scientific payloads and balloons. Supports field operations which could require travel for periods up to eight weeks or more several times a year both in the United States and overseas. Specific Requirements / Licensing Special Requirements: • Must be able to travel to support campaigns in various locations around the world • Up to 60% travel per year • Must have or be able to obtain a passport • Ability to pass the National Science Foundation physical (Medical) requirement to work in Antarctica including latest FLU and COVID vaccinations required to qualify.
