Roles and Responsibilities DHE is looking for an entry level full-time mechanical engineer to work as part of an integrated, multi-disciplined design team in our Phoenix, AZ office. Responsibilities will consist of mechanical system design and commissioning, including HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection, and temperature controls. The best person for the job will be able to succeed in a casual work environment with a client-focused, yet highly professional culture. Curiosity is a must. In this role you will work as part of a team supporting technical analyses of transportation accidents, mechanical failure evaluations, and assessments of vehicle safety systems including restraints and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). Field activities include documenting the accident site and vehicles through a variety of techniques including photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and drone technology, and the preservation of collision data from vehicle electronic modules. The candidate should be hands-on with the ability to support fieldwork and testing, have excellent communication skills, and be motivated to advance professionally and ultimately develop and grow their consulting practice within Exponent.
