The Manufacturing Engineer (OPEX Process) is a newly-created role and part of the Manufacturing Technology group, based in Nogales, Arizona. In this role, you will both coordinate and champion the Amphenol RF Operational Excellence Process. You will build, implement, and lead OPEX culture and governance, driving systems to enable sustainable continuous improvement in all operations. You will drive strategic short and long-term operation initiatives and process improvement projects in alignment with the mission and goals of Amphenol RF. You will be accountable for delivering tactical results by the use and implementation of industry leading tools and methodologies, including the OPEX System, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, BPM, and Continuous Improvement Kaizen, amongst others. You will act as the primary manufacturing technical lead for an integrated New Product Development Team at Amphenol RF. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop, drive, improve, and support the OPEX culture across all divisions, guiding departmental and process leaders and owners on OPEX best practices in building best in class systems through the right commitment, strategy, and tools; • Train and mentor staff on the Amphenol RF OPEX culture, systems, and strategies; • Develop and build out both budget and initiatives plan in alignment with the mission of Amphenol RF; • Lead implementation of all cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives, ultimately tracking costs, final investment, and ROI; • Develop strategic plans with stakeholders in PM, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to achieve end-to-end operational goals; • Review and audit AR's investment plan (vs. actual investment), schedule, ROI and pre-defined objectives; • Lead and facilitate tactical process improvement projects throughout all divisions; and • Create and communicate detailed milestones with clear, specific, and achievable short and long- term goals and quantifiable objectives. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in Engineering a must, specifically in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Process, Industrial, or Electrical; • At least 5 years of related experience; • Certified in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuos Improvement Methodologies highly desired; • Proven ability to develop, implement, and sustain an OPEX or CI program across multiple company divisions; • Entrepreneurial, goal-oriented, and self-motivated; • Hands-on experience driving improvement initiatives through implementation of leading-industry techniques and methodologies, such as OPEX Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, BPM, and Continuous Improvement Kaizen; • Overall familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC, Stamping, Soldering, and Plastic Injection Molding; and • Able to travel 75% of time (Domestic and International). Description/Summary: The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an HVAC Engineer I. The HVAC Engineer I is responsible for assisting the Engineer Tech 1 for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for the assigned property(s). Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, and performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance for assigned properties. • Assisting Engineer 1 and other staff as needed . • Ability of use of hand tools, portable metalworking tools, electrical, welding equipment, mechanical components and or equipment. • Maintain operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and system, to include but not limited to, clean and safe work environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, performance of day-to- day preventive and corrective maintenance. • Inspection of engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling towers, motors, house pumps, electrical rooms, back-up generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps. • Level 1&2 EPA certification . • Commercial HV AC/R Journeyman level training/certification at a college/trade school. • Able to perform duties of the General Maintenance 1. • Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government. • Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.
