Job Responsibilities: • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, then reassemble equipment for functionality. • Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly and to maintain the physical integrity of our facilities. • Inspect various machine components, including drives, motors, and belts, and perform maintenance tasks according to checklists. • Utilize a wide range of tools, from common hand tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices. • Assemble, install, or repair electrical and electronic components, plumbing systems, and machinery. • Diagnose mechanical issues by referring to blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogs for efficient correction. • Conduct inspections, operation tests, and evaluations of machinery to diagnose malfunctions. • Document all maintenance and repair work accurately using our maintenance management system. • Clean and lubricate machinery components for optimal performance. • Dismantle machinery to access and amend defective parts using hoists, cranes, and other tools. • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. • Contribute to quality product assurance in accordance with SQF 2000 standards. Minimum Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification from Vocational School or an associate degree in industrial/mechanical technology (or equivalent experience). • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting (with education) or 4-10 years in a maintenance-related role (without education). Physical Requirements: Ability to twist, bend and squat while handling objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and lift 60 lbs from the ground with good manual dexterity. Schedule: 11 PM to 7 AM, Sunday to Friday; every Saturday off and every other Friday off. Compensation and Benefits: Starting wage at $29.00 per hour, with a $3.00 shift premium from 6 PM to 6 AM on weekdays and all day Saturday, plus 1.5x pay on Sundays. Full-time hours range from 40 to 50 hours weekly, with overtime compensated at 1.5x for hours over 40 and for Sundays and holidays.
