Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are currently looking for a experienced electrical mechanical maintenance technician to come work with us at Mullins Cheese and Mullins Whey. We are a 4th generation family owned businesses. Our current location has been producing dairy products for 50 years and ships dairy products globally. Description: As a maintenance technician you will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting, insulating, welding; machining; carpentry, rebuilding or replacing pumps, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment. Essential Job Functions: Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work using our maintenance management system Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Fill out proper documentation in accordance to customer specification and government agencies Aid other employees to maintain a safe process and quality product Follow Safety Procedures Maintain clean work environment Comply with all processes and procedures of SQF 2000 to assure a safe, quality product Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 1-2 years as an industrial Maintenance Technician. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Certification from Vocational School; associated degree in industrial/mechanical technology; education not required if have sufficient experience. Experience: 2-5 years in manufacturing position (with education); 4-10 years of maintenance related position (without education) Physical Requirements: Twisting, bending, and squatting with 50lbs object in hand Lifting 60 lbs. from the ground Good finger/hand/multi-limb dexterity Schedule: 11pm-7am. Sunday-Friday. Every Saturday off and every other Friday off. Benefits: Wage open based upon experience Starting at $ 29.00 per hour $3.00 Shift Premium 6pm-6am. Monday-Friday. Project Engineer- Design

Summary: Responsible for engineering projects(s) within a design and development program. This position will include providing work directions to engineers and/or designers. Be responsible for software and hydraulic system integration. Perform high level engineering analysis and design of new and modified components in accordance with engineering standards and project scope. The Project Engineer is also responsible for resolving manufacturing and field issues when they arise. Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility: • Manage the integration of embedded machine software and hydraulic systems and drive debugging and validation efforts. • Drive company vision for new products as it relates to requirements. • Drive problem resolution, with a focus on simple but robust solutions. • Participate in budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements and preparing justification data as required • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues • Communicate project objectives to natural working groups (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Service, Marketing, Materials) • Use CAD to design and develop components and products while abiding by lean manufacturing, safety, engineering and drawing standards • Create and maintain project documentation for project planning, requirements analysis, risk management, issues management, status reporting, project communication, quality assurance, research and historical records • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, and cost • Prepares engineering layouts, drawings, specifications and Bill of Materials, ensuring all parts are accurately specified for production needs • Maintain engineering documentation within the EPDM system • Perform engineering analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and materials that meet requirements • Provide technical assistance for prototype build, pilot build, and production support • Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication • Provide direction to designers and drafters regarding engineering analysis • Establish priorities of work for self and delegated to others • Assist manufacturing with process improvements and suggest design modifications to quality H&S products • Provide leadership to the team to ensure program success • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures • Adheres to company quality protocols and processes • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the H&S handbook • Perform other related duties as assigned by management Skills and Abilities: • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity • Strong time management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to make good, rational decisions while under pressure • Work well in a team setting and provides help to other engineers when needed • Adapt easily to change and responds positively to constructive feedback • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Proven track record of implementing projects from concept to full scale production • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Have a passion for delivering world class hay and forage products. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering (Agricultural/Mechanical/Electrical) • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint) • 6+ years related experience • Familiarity with Epicor ERP System is preferred • Experience working with SolidWorks, Creo or equivalent 3D modeling package • Possess a strong mechanical knowledge of agriculture equipment or related systems • Agricultural background Oxbo offers a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package.
