Quality Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. About the Role The Quality Engineer provides support and leadership to ensure successful development of products and processes, production and process controls, continuous improvement, and corrective action. Lead teams to execute quality related projects, validation plans, set-up and verify statistical sampling plans, lead CAPA activity, implement production and process controls and mentor team members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Prefer in descending order of significance) • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality function, and reliability prior to delivery. • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products. • Analyzes and interprets customer specifications into accurate inspection instructions. • Coordinates product testing and validation processes. • Participates in product testing. • Participates, conducts, and facilitates customer, 3rd party, and supplier audits. • Drafts and recommends procedures to establish or improve the quality management system. • Communicates with internal and external customers on measurement methods, specifications, inspection instructions, and quality complaints. • Develops and maintains metrics to measure and track quality programs and initiatives. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline. • 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, plastics preferred. • Statistical evaluations of data to determine process capability, process limits, and GRR • Training or experience in ISO Requirements and internal auditing. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Mini tab, and statistical tools. Physical Demands: • The employee is required to use their hands to touch and handle objects, sit, verbally communicate, pass a color differentiation test, and hear. • The employee is required to walk and stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Mechanical Proj. Engineer-Plumbing(1912)

About the position MSA has an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer - Plumbing at any of our following Wisconsin offices: Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton, Baraboo, or Kiel on the Building Service Line. In this role, you will have the opportunity to see and contribute to projects from start to finish. The various projects you will be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. Your work will involve the design of plumbing systems, including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specifications, and coordination. You will also be responsible for the fire protection scope of work design specification and layout, drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit, performing code reviews, and reviewing and processing shop drawings and submittals. Additionally, you will conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates, manage projects, and interact with clients. A key aspect of this position will also involve assisting with mentoring junior technicians and engineers. Responsibilities • Design plumbing systems including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specifications, and coordination. , • Design fire protection scope of work specifications and layouts. , • Develop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. , • Perform code reviews and shop drawing and submittal reviews and processing. , • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates. , • Manage projects and interact with clients. , • Assist in mentoring junior technicians and engineers. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required. , • 4+ years of prior commercial plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor required. , • Professional Engineer license preferred; ability to obtain PE license within 2 years of employment required. , • Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities, and commercial buildings required. , • Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors, clients, and other disciplines preferred. , • Experience with Revit required. , • Prior project management experience required. , • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
