Mechanical Proj. Engineer-Plumbing(1912)

About the position MSA has an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer - Plumbing at any of our following Wisconsin offices: Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton, Baraboo, or Kiel on the Building Service Line. In this role, you will have the opportunity to see and contribute to projects from start to finish. The various projects you will be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. Your work will involve the design of plumbing systems, including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specifications, and coordination. You will also be responsible for the fire protection scope of work design specification and layout, drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit, performing code reviews, and reviewing and processing shop drawings and submittals. Additionally, you will conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates, manage projects, and interact with clients. A key aspect of this position will also involve assisting with mentoring junior technicians and engineers. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required. , • 4+ years of prior commercial plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor required. , • Professional Engineer license preferred; ability to obtain PE license within 2 years of employment required. , • Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities, and commercial buildings required. , • Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors, clients, and other disciplines preferred. , • Experience with Revit required. , • Prior project management experience required. , • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
