Foutz Motorsports off-road shop has an immediate position open for a mechanic / install technician. This person must pay close attention to detail, be intelligent and use common sense. Ability to self-start and follow directions. Have experience in vehicle mechanical work in the off-road community or similar race environment. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Daily tasks of installing suspension components, shock rebuilding, bumper installations, wiring lights and basic electrical • Assist in creation of install instructions for newly developed products • Ability to read blue prints and instructions for detailed installs • Attention to detail on prints to ensure ALL product is installed correct and passes QC • Ability get to work on time every day without drama. • Self starter and hard worker to meet deadlines Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Know basic automotive mechanical skills to perform work on customer vehicles and test fitting newly designed components. • Must be able to do basic electrical wiring tasks to add components to off-road vehicles like lights and power control boxes. • Must have your own tools to perform the work – hand tools and basic air and cordless power tools • Have experience working in very detailed environment and be able to pay close attention to the details when taking things apart and putting them back together. • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and be a team player to accomplish the company goals • Must know how to read and operate basic measurement tools (tape measure, protractor, calipers) • MUST have reliable transportation to get to work on time every time. • Minor fabrication / adjustments is part of the job so you must be able to handle a grinder, sander, drill, etc. Summary of Experience and Education • Must be detail oriented and able to pay close attention to detail and follow instructions • Minimum 3 years automotive mechanical experience (chassis and suspension primary) or high end race shop or aerospace experience Compensation • Compensation $25+ – up DOE with growth possibilities. • Hours are shift dependent and varying – normally 7:00 am to 4:00 pm • Job is full time on location at our main facility in Mesa Arizona Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Employee discount • Paid time off Schedule: • 8 hour shift Ability to Commute: • Mesa, AZ 85205 (Required) Work Location: In person
